Right side unibody rusted out - the engine and front differential are connected to the frame which cannot effectively be repaired. Extreme safety hazard. If the unibody could be repaired, it would be temporary and pose a safety hazard for the next buyer and potential liability for the seller. Infiniti refuses to assume responsibility. Infiniti has repaired the driver's side strut tower housing, but does not acknowledge sever unibody rust. Dealer indicates other owners have same problem.
Shame on Infiniti to put sub-par vehicles disguise as luxury.
Engine above average (but thirsty),
Electrical (sub) average
Body - disgusting. Started to rust after 5 years, initially was just esthetic and now it's dangerous and Infiniti won't take responsibility for it .
I guess they didn't learn anything from Toyota debacle.
When the first deadly accident will happen because of the rust they will learn the hard way that it's better to fix the problem, instead of ignore it.
The sad part is that they knew about it for some time and a lot of Nissan / Infinity cars suffer from the rust issue which points to bad coating and poor quality control.
