With respect to Infiti's support for Bluetooth phones (not the music aspect, just the phone), their cars have amongst the worst bluetooth support I've ever seen. I've owned and/or driven cars from all of Infiniti's competitors - BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, etc. They all have far, far better support for bluetooth phones. Bluetooth is supposed to be a standard, but it's implementation has been far from that. Infinitis without navigation support ... Read More
Hi, I am looking for 2007 M35/M45, but I read in 2008 Infiniti switched from DVD Nav. System to HD Nav. System. Does anyone know is the HD Navigation is a big improvement over the DVD system? Is it worthwhile to pay more for 2008 models to get the HD nav. system (I didn't see any other improvements in 2008 except lane departure improvements, which does not seem important). Thanks.
I think I'm going to forget the base models and shell out for one with nav and a few other options. The price premium for the extras in the used models is closer to 2K than 5-6K and thus probably worth it. I mean the nav in these vehicles can't be that lousy, right? Any thoughts on how much more to pay for, say 25K miles vs 40K miles? I'm trying ... Read More
Edmunds over values the M.Kelly and CR slightly under value.I just bought a used 2008 loaded M45 by calling around to used car managers of Infinity dealers.I then related the price that I wanted to pay before making the drive.Three of them sold before I got there, but the one I really wanted I was able to buy.It is like new but 24K less than MSRP.Good luck!
"I have never understood why the RL does not sell better. Potential buyers went across the street to try the Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, Mercedes, or even Audi, and never came back. If I were you, I won't even bother negotiating, since Infiniti financing will not give you a price near as low (compare the market). Ture, they will lose money even you returen the car and they sell it off of an auction - unless your car is in top condition and they will re-sell it as CPO car at the dealership. It makes sense to just return the car and look ... Read More
My fiancee' and I also purchased a brand new left-over 2007 Pearl White M45 Sport from the same dealer. With the negotiated price of $34998.00 and our trade in, we paid $30,009.00 (after taxes and miscellaneous add-ons). The sticker was for $55,000+. It has the stone color interior. I could not believe the deal. I agree with you regarding the snow handling of this vehicle, but if the snow we have ... Read More
OK this is no joke... I have a 2006 M45 sport coming off 39 month lease now paying 760 a month and my buyout was 33559 on my car received a 10,000 reduction on the residual to buy the car so figure about 24000 to buy it. Mark, I bought a 2007 M35X yesterday that had the following: 10,000 Miles Tech Package (includes Navi) Xenon/AFS Package This is a one owner car with a clear title and all services performed in time. The car was purchased in the Chicagoland at an Infiniti Dealership. The price was 30,000 plus tax and title. For the rest of you out there, how did I do?
I posted a a report in the fall of 2006 when my M45 sport was at 18 months. I had nothing but praise for the M45 and I stated that the car was flawless. I recently purchased an 07' M45 Sport. I absolutely love this car! The only gripe is the lack of automatic door locks when the car is shifted into gear or a pre-set speed. I've become accustomed to this feature in the three previous cars I've owned, so I was surprised a car that costs this much didn't have this feature as standard equipment. Is there a way to configure this feature ... Read More

In May 2007 it was a part that had to do with the throttle. The part could not be located anywhere in North America. In early November 2007 the GPS system went out and it took 11 weeks for a part to arrive. Again, there were no parts in North America. These are the only two problems I have had with the car.

Here you go. There are similar articles from the other auto magazines. I am yet to see one that has the 5 series ranked higher than the M. Regardless, all great cars. But these articles and drving the vehciles had a lot to do with me purchasing the M. Eventhough I also have the E350 as my commuter car now. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/11738/2007-bmw-550i-vs-2007-infiniti-m45- - -sport-vs-2007-lexus-gs450h-vs-2007-mercedes-benz-e550.html
leased 2007 M45 sport yesterday. Tech package, rear spoiler, XM. $55,075 list. redidual was 63% MF was .00020. I think Infiniti is giving these cars away at the moment, as I paid only $599/mo, no money down, 15k miles, 24 mo lease. Got what I believe is a good deal on a 2007 M45 during Infiniti's Limited Engagement sales event in December 06. You are very right bgiannantonio. Good deals abound on M45s. At another dealership, I was offered a 2006 M45 with Premium package for $49,000. Enjoy your new ride. I'm loving mine. ;)

I've been driving an Infinity M35X for about a year now. Everything about the car is great except the way it drives. The engine is loud, the shifts are rapid and pronounced, and the gas mileage is down right horrible. With that said, it still drives better than all the cars in it's class (bmw 530i, E350, A6). Fortunately, Infiniti Leasing offers an early termination. Infinity Leasing is the best leasing ... Read More
I think M sales will drop a bit, but not "like a rock". It should be able to meet its annual sales goal of 24,000 units per year, even during its 3rd and 4th years. The 2008 M will probably get the 306 3.5L engine, along with some updates to the exterior and interior. Or it may even get the 3.7L engine that the 2008 G Coupe is purportedly getting. At ... Prediction: M sales are going to drop like a rock when the G is introduced. And the G will be a hot seller and compensate for the lost sales of the M. The M is much bigger (and comfortable) car than the G. If buyers were only concerned about hp they could get the M45. Like saying that if BMW put a more powerful engine in the 3-series, the sales of ... Read More
ghstudio...do you have the sense that nobody really knows when the 2007s are arriving (perhaps, including Infinity dealers) or do you think it is now known that their arrival is immanent and this one dealer was just mystifying the scene for his own purposes?
This sounds an awful lot like a dealer who is giving up the infiniti franchise and trying to unload 2006's before they give infiniti's up completely. No serious dealer would not order 2007 cars. Alternatively, they may have just too many over equipped cars and they are desparate to sell them so they tell you what they think will help them dump those cars. Doesn't matter which is the case....this should ... Read More
This is one of the strangest and, from a sales-marketing standpoint, one of the most self-destructive year-to-year transitions I've witnessed. It has seemed as if the 2007 M35s looming on the horizon have had the usual effect of slowing down sales (Infiniti sales have been down this May and June from what they were last May and June), but stretching things out in this ambiguous way wouldn't seem to bring any ... I find you all over the place in your somewhat, as you say, fanatic arguing. Mark … great rant. My problem, not having owned a luxury car before my 2004 BMW 325i, is that I only have test-drive personal experience to share here. I certainly hope I'm right, too, since this info is what I based my order on! The info I've posted is from a page of 2007 M35 info that the dealer got from Infiniti HQ on April 6th and faxed to me, so hopefully it's accurate!
While I hope you are right, I read the package description from Infinity at the dealer and it very clearly stated that the rear camera was only available in the advanced technology package. Navigation is included in the base technology package but without the camera.

I somehow think M35 AWD would be the hot seller as you can drive it to any other States without worry about any whether. I think it would be wise for Infiniti to cancel G35 since M35 Sport and M35 AWD could fill G35's spot and cancel Q45 since you have M45 Sport to take its place.
