Re: Help Please! M45 or M45 Sport? [rangerover]
RangeRover- I live in the SF Bay area, and recently completed my purchase of an M45 Sport. I am still in the break-in period, but very much looking forward to "opening her up" in just a week or so... I own a 2003 5 series, which I got with the sport suspension so as to be able to enjoy the best handling. I am replacing that car with this one. I would say, after a lot of test ... Read More...
Re: 2 Weeks into it... [stebro]
I guess it depends on the implementation. I had a 2000 Mercedes S430 with rain sensing wipers. There was no sensitivity adjustment, but they worked great. I miss this feature on my M45. You're right, it probably does depend on the implementation. I, however, didn't find Mercedes' implementation to be that great. I had it on my 2000 CLK430 Coupe and have it on my ... Read More...
Re: M35x 0-60 Times... [lounacl]
The Audi A6 2.7T depending on which iteration of the engine (250HP or 265HP) and also depending on the transmission was the quickest A6 and darn near the quickest Audi, PERIOD (excluding the RS6 but able to give the S4 a run for its money -- thinking of the 2.7T S4, of course). I have the 2.7T in a 2003 allroad (6speed manual) and the acceleration of the M35X I believe ... Read More...
Re: hpowders, richcream [lexusguy]
I drove the 545, GS 430 and M45. Two of them were satisfying drives. The GS handles very well and most people would be quite satisfied with its power, very good steering and cornering. As a BMW owner, I was impressed. If you drive the autobahn and take curves at 80 mph, then the GS is not your car since its electronic aids will kick in and prevent you from achieving your ... Re: Infiniti M45 vs MB CLS 500 [easypass]
---------------------- do most people feel it is "2nd rate" compared to the other luxery brands? ---------------------- I personally don't feel that the prestige factor is second rate. People are generally very impressed with my 2003 Q45. In fact I feel like I get more attention with my Q, than I did with my previous LS430. Additionally, The M keeps getting ... Read More...
Re: M35/M45 @ the NYC Autoshow [mvs1]
======== why did you ultimately choose or settle for the Infiniti??? Infiniti is still is trying to imitate rather then lead! ======== I have owned 4 LS400's, an LS430, and now have a 2003 Q45. Before I bought my Q45, I rented an S500 for a week to see which I liked better. The Q was vastly better in so many, many ways. If I had kept the LS430, or gotten the S500, I would ... Read More...
Re: Infiniti Of Huntsville (Alabama) [kfhmail]
Thanks for letting me know about the M45. For me, the best person there to deal with has been Ken, their Internet Sales guy. His office might be in the Dodge building. Don't know if they are competitive with Nashville, Bhm & Chattanooga. Not unusual, but they've had some recent staffing turnover there. I did think it was wierd that they had so many leftover 2004 G35 ... Read More...
Re: Cruising RPM... [pearl]
"I agree with the concerns others have posted re the cruising RPM on the M. 2500 at 60mph and 3300 at 80mph seems excessive" My current car (Lincoln LS V8 Sport 2003) turns approx. 2,000 rpm at 60 in fifth gear. The M45 turning 2,300 at 60 was initially a concern for me. One thing I find particularly interesting is that with the motor (larger 4.5 L vs. my current 3.9 ... Read More...
Re: M35X vs. M45 Sport [jrock65]
"Both cars are very fast. In fact, in normal driving, I'd say it'd be hard to tell what is accelerating faster." From Nissannews: Final drive ratio (:1) M35 = 3.538 (AWD 3.692) M45 = 3.357 I am having trouble with their site right now from work, but this is from a save document release / published upon announcement. I believe this is the link: http://www.nissannews.com/infiniti/2006vehicles/infiniti_m/specs.shtml ... Read More...
Gas Mileage M45
Gas Mileage? Anyone have any real world numbers on either/both the M35 or M45 (or AWD)? Looking at the EPA figures, Infiniti does not seem to come off quite as well as some other manufacturers; however, as we all know, there are many factors involved here. I think that many of us would like to hear what folks are achieving on the street. My current vehicle (Lincoln ... Read More...
