I am curious of the Posters from 2008 who were contemplating getting the 2009 M {the X version came with the 5 AT}, how they like the 7 AT. I have a 2010 G37X with the 7AT. I find that it lumbers in a high gear - way too frequently and easily particularly on local suburban road (25-40 MPH); Lags on the downshift and it is very evident when Braking then ... Read More
I have a 2010 M-35 I would like to sell! It has 8,000 miles on it and has the technology pkg w/Bose premimum 8 spkr w/9.3 Gig hard drive Music Box, Nav system, rear view 8" monitor/display & 18" 5-spoke wheels. Excellent condition. I am in the market looking for either 2009 or 2010 Infiniti black M35 with either tan or stone interior. It is hard to find car with my specification close to where I live. An infiniti dealer close to my house has a 2009 M35 with ~23K miles on it and is asking ~32K. The interior is tan and exterior is sandstone...though the exterior color do not appeal me....but this seems ... Read More
Someone from Infiniti consumer affairs told me that they should be on the lots in late october or early november because they maybe doing some changes to the car being that it is coming out later than what it did last year.
I think a 2008 Infiniti M35 hits on all points except points 3 and 4, especially as they get older. 4. Ability to fit 3 kids worth of stuff in the trunk You'll have plenty of room to move in Infiniti M35. Rear headroom (inches): 37.8, rear hip room (inches): 53.9, rear leg room (inches): 37.3, rear shoulder room (inches): 56.9 and interior volume (cu ft): 105.2 It also features a ... Read More
Everyone - thanks so much for the responses. The discussion is really making me think about what I need and helping me refine things. As I think about this, my requirements are: 1. Luxury/near luxury car 2. Some sporting feel. Even though I will be driving to/from work 90% of the time, every now and then I would like to be able to have a little bit of fun. 3. Ability ... ddelise: You have pretty much defined a llightly used infiniti M35....a 2009 or maybe even a 2010. You'll need nav to get rear camera though...but most will have it and it won't really cost you anything if you're buying used.
You can do better,Is it a CPO with Infinity wrap.I would suggest 32,400 with CPO and about 850 for the wrap.Good luck
Infiniti released a reflash for the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to resolve this issue. jngo1 I got my 2009 M35 (sport + tech) for 41,800 + TTL with 7 miles on it (Infiniti of Fort Myers FL)- a couple months ago, so you should get better price then 42,9K with 80 miles on it. By the way I love mine, great car, Good luck!
The incentives on the M line did not change from last month. If you can find a 2009: Special rates + $1000 or $6000 dealer cash ($7k on M45). 2010 M35: Special Rates or $4000 2010 M45: Special Rates or $5000 (very rare - super limited production) Still a $2000 lease Loyalty rebate - must lease and must own an Infiniti. Hope this helps. :)
Infiniti just announced today an additional $1000 Bonus Cash on all M's (M35 or M45 - 2009 or 2010). You can use this money with special rates or lease! Here is the breakdown: 09 M: $2000 + special rates or $7000 ($8000 on M45) or $4250 on lease (plus $2000 loyalty rebate if you own an Infiniti) 10 M: $1000 + special rates or $5000 ($6000 on M45) or $1000 on ... M4M, I see you purchased a 2009. Unfortunately, those are now few and far between. The 2009s have an additional $1,000 incentive from Infiniti that the 10s don't yet have on them. I suspect Infiniti will put that additional incentive in the next 60-90 days because the 2011s are due out in March 2010. An all new body style will really cause Infiniti to want to get rid of remaining inventory. ... Read More
This peeling veneer is on my 2008 M35 which is under warranty.... Think about it. If there is a quality control issue with these parts, then they must be continuing to build cars with wood panels that they know may peel. I'm pretty sure that the 2009 and 2008 use the exact same panels. If they have fixed the problem, then why aren't there any parts here. We are less than ... Read More
2009 - IF (and that is a big if) you can find a 2009 M35/45, Infiniti has thrown another $1000 at them. The special rates stayed the same. This additional $1000 - you CAN use with the rates or existing dealer cash. Bottom line is you should be able to get about $9k off any M without much fuss. Hope this helps. PS Still have tax credits on leases (in Texas). ... Read More
We are now on our 2nd M35. The 1st 2007 M35 we totaled with 9000 miles. I believe this car saved us from serious harm. We love our 2nd 2007 M35 and now have 43,000 miles. We did not need the all-wheel drive because we are in the sun belt. There has been much discussion on this board site regarding the all wheel M35X/45X. The problem seems to be in the ... Read More
Auto lock/unlock on M35/M45 is NEVER offered by Infiniti - Not with ANY package or any option. None, never, ever from 2006 through 2009. So, don't bother about it - unless you go with after market. Yes, I know this for sure, 100%, 1000% sure.
I'm looking at a 2009 M35 with tech package. The listed price is 50K. The dealer offered 39.8K. Good deal? I know infiniti is giving 5K incentive on this car. My target price is 38K. Not sure if it is a feasible price. Thanks!
Had a great expirience with the guys from Austin Infiniti!!! if you are looking for a great deal, talk with Akeem Disu.
The 2008 A4 body model B7 was replaced by the B8 in 2009. It is much larger than a G37 and smaller than an M35. I upscaled and downsized from a 2006 M35X to a 2009 Audi A4 2.0 quattro, sports package. I recommend driving one before going for an Infiniti M or G. For 2009 both M35 and M35x got the 3.5L from G35 (303hp / 268 lb-ft) but only M35 got the 7-speed AT which boosted fuel economy by a little. M45 got no improvements in that category at all. M35 still has a less powerful engine than what is now in the G37 (328hp / 269 lb-ft).
Thanks for the suggestion Lexusguy. The Jag and especially the Audi have much better fuel economy numbers than M45 certainly in part due to the extra gear. Interestingly the Infiniti dealer did not have a 2009 M35 (with the new engine and 7-speed transmission) that he could find for me to test drive to compare with the M45. They had lots of 2008 models though.
I''ve heard this from two sources. One was the Infinity dealer. Then, Motor Trend September issue on 2009 new cars indicates the transmission is new as well as the engine. The VQ35HR V6 is the new engine which increases horsepower from 276 to 310. Its the same engine as in the G35 (which actually also gets a newer engine and is called G37).
From what I am hearing they are going to be making a new M for the 2010 year model which will be a M37 and M50 the M37 will replace the M35 but it will have the same engine as the G37 and 7 speed transmission. The M50 will replace the M45 and have the engine from the 2009 FX50 which is a 5.0L 390Hp 369LBs ft. torque but it maybe ... Read More
They come out 2 days before christmas or 2 days after. I went to the infiniti 2009 infiniti model lineup on youtube and they were talking about them then. They also added the automatic door locking system to lock the doors when you take off driving. They didn't ... Read More
Awesome....Infiniti is finally listening to M35 owners by changing the transmission gearing in the M35 to improve MPG. I'll be very curious to see how much this will change their MPG numbers.
Good question, I don't think they changed the gearing. More than likely they just changed the heads, cam, etc. on the car and air flow to make it faster but I doubt they touched the gears. I wish they were made like the camaro's and trans am from 86-89 with TPI throttle body. I could set my transmission gear for higher revs at 70 MPH or lower revs. Does anyone have ... Read More
The major change for 2009 Infiniti M comes for the M35 and M35x with the replacement of the previous 275-hp V6 with the 303-hp 3.5-liter V6 that was introduced in the second-generation G35 sedan. A new seven-speed automatic transmission and Drive Sport mode is available, along with auto speed-sensing door locks and Scratch Shield paint (self-healing clearcoat paint finish). The M35x keeps the five speed automatic transmission and the M35 gets ... Read More
2) Still no search by street and then select the city 3) you still lose significant function when the car is moving....there's no change here..it still sucks. 4) Fuel economy gauge is now graphical so you can't see 16.6 or 17.1..you see a bar graph. 5) She still talks too much...great for demo's but after you learn the system, you don't need all those prompts (I've already changed to short prompts ... Hi Walt: I'll throw in my 2 cents for you. First, regarding gas mileage, my opinion is that people are making a bigger deal of this than it merits. While Infiniti is on the bottom end mileage wise, if you compare vehicles with similar engines the difference is not as great as some would have you believe. I would be totally satisfied with an M35 with a 7 speed. I'm willing to bet that when Infiniti does decide to update the M, the M35 will be updated to the M37. The M is currently using the 275hp "2005" version of the VQ35. Updating it with the 330hp VQ37HR would allow them to hit back at the 535i and the GS350.
I would be totally satisfied with an M35 with a 7 speed.
If we have had some skepticism about how well CR and JDP predict reliability in a meaningful way (much less predict overall ownership and driving satisfaction), we are on even thinner ice when it comes to cars in the 75K to 125K chapters of their lives. Mostly it's anecdotal. On one website (British Warranty Direct) they draw on their experience paying for beyond-manufacturers-warranty repairs, and provide the 100 most reliable cars ... Read More
