  Someone from Infiniti consumer affairs told me that they should be on the lots in late october or early november because they maybe doing some changes to the car being that it is coming out later than what it did last year.

  ddelise: You have pretty much defined a llightly used infiniti M35....a 2009 or maybe even a 2010. You'll need nav to get rear camera though...but most will have it and it won't really cost you anything if you're buying used.

  jngo1 I got my 2009 M35 (sport + tech) for 41,800 + TTL with 7 miles on it (Infiniti of Fort Myers FL)- a couple months ago, so you should get better price then 42,9K with 80 miles on it. By the way I love mine, great car, Good luck!

  The incentives on the M line did not change from last month. If you can find a 2009: Special rates + $1000 or $6000 dealer cash ($7k on M45). 2010 M35: Special Rates or $4000 2010 M45: Special Rates or $5000 (very rare - super limited production) Still a $2000 lease Loyalty rebate - must lease and must own an Infiniti.   M4M, I see you purchased a 2009. Unfortunately, those are now few and far between. The 2009s have an additional $1,000 incentive from Infiniti that the 10s don't yet have on them. I suspect Infiniti will put that additional incentive in the next 60-90 days because the 2011s are due out in March 2010.   This peeling veneer is on my 2008 M35 which is under warranty.... Think about it. If there is a quality control issue with these parts, then they must be continuing to build cars with wood panels that they know may peel.   Auto lock/unlock on M35/M45 is NEVER offered by Infiniti - Not with ANY package or any option. None, never, ever from 2006 through 2009. So, don't bother about it - unless you go with after market. Yes, I know this for sure, 100%, 1000% sure.

  The 2008 A4 body model B7 was replaced by the B8 in 2009. It is much larger than a G37 and smaller than an M35. Mileage is +25% better than a G and +30% better than an M, Large trunk and fold down rear seats make effective carrying usefulness beyond the M35.   I upscaled and downsized from a 2006 M35X to a 2009 Audi A4 2.0 quattro, sports package. I recommend driving one before going for an Infiniti M or G. If you are a handling fan order one with sports package. 30 mpg highways vs 20, much better handling and ride. No trammeling and uncontrollable lurches.   For 2009 both M35 and M35x got the 3.5L from G35 (303hp / 268 lb-ft) but only M35 got the 7-speed AT which boosted fuel economy by a little. M45 got no improvements in that category at all. M35 still has a less powerful engine than what is now in the G37 (328hp / 269 lb-ft).

  Thanks for the suggestion Lexusguy. The Jag and especially the Audi have much better fuel economy numbers than M45 certainly in part due to the extra gear. Interestingly the Infiniti dealer did not have a 2009 M35 (with the new engine and 7-speed transmission) that he could find for me to test drive to compare with the M45. They had lots of 2008 models though.

  I''ve heard this from two sources. One was the Infinity dealer. Then, Motor Trend September issue on 2009 new cars indicates the transmission is new as well as the engine. The VQ35HR V6 is the new engine which increases horsepower from 276 to 310. Its the same engine as in the G35 (which actually also gets a newer engine and is called G37).

  They come out 2 days before christmas or 2 days after. I went to the infiniti 2009 infiniti model lineup on youtube and they were talking about them then. The only difference is that they add a scratch protective coat to the paint that makes it heal itself at a certain temperature.   Good question, I don't think they changed the gearing. More than likely they just changed the heads, cam, etc. on the car and air flow to make it faster but I doubt they touched the gears. I wish they were made like the camaro's and trans am from 86-89 with TPI throttle body. I could set my transmission gear for higher revs at 70 MPH or lower revs. Does anyone have ... Read More

  EPA Ratings Lexus LS460 - 16 city 24 highway Infiniti M45 - 16 city 21 highway Infiniti M35 - 16 city 23 highway Way better? I do most of my driving on the highway, so 14% highway mileage is way better.

  I would be totally satisfied with an M35 with a 7 speed. I'm willing to bet that when Infiniti does decide to update the M, the M35 will be updated to the M37. The M is currently using the 275hp "2005" version of the VQ35. Updating it with the 330hp VQ37HR would allow them to hit back at the 535i and the GS350.
