Infiniti J30

J30 WOW!!

Hey everyone, I also am a new owner(5 months ago) of a 1997 J30 and I love it. The car rides wonderful and here in Texas the snow and ice conditions don't apply. I found mine online and called the infiniti dealer ship here in town and they gave me the complete background on the car and even faxed it over, I then called the previous owner and wife who verified what a great ... I am a proud new J30 owner :-)

Esteemed members of the J30 fellowship: Although I've never posted here before, I have read every single message in the J30 discussion. Most of you are passionate, devout J30 afficionados. Your posts are entertaining and informative. In my own personal used car search, this town-hall forum was instrumental in providing me with a thorough working knowledge ... Read More...

1997.5 model notes

The 1997.5 model was conjured up to make up for slow sales of the 1997 models. It had a different Bose radio(the button layout is different) and it has added wood grain trim to the front and rear passenger window switches. Over than that, there was really no change at all. No J30 was ever offered with side airbags. (1998 was the first year for the I30 to get sideairbags, ... Read More...

J30t & Extended Warranty !

I will be buying a 1997 J30 either today or tommorow. But it says J30t ... I wonder is there anything like this model. I tried searching everywhere, didnt get nothing on "t". Is it touring model ? Moreover, the infinity.com says, you get a 12month/12K free warranty on any of their certified car. Do i still need to get warranty ? I am confused. Peaceman34: How much did ... Read More...

Santex, you can check numerous sources but for the most "brochure-like" presentation on the car with all kinds of specs, try Autopedia. Here's a link: http://autopedia.com/Infin/97J30.html. The J had a few incentives then as well. Dave, I'm glad you and your family are okay. I really fell bad for your J. But the Q45 will bring just as much pleasure! Now that I've ... Read More...

Infiniti rules.

Jiamin, Infinti does depreciate a little faster than Lexus but as you pointed out, they has few problems as their Lexus counterparts. I'm not sure why Lexus edges out Infiniti. Their styling is bland and hardly original and everything else about them can be had on others cars for far less money. But the reason why the Lexus and Infiniti nameplates even exist is ... It's like BMW to Mercedes what Lexus is to Infiniti. One's a more performance oriented brand that calls to driven while the other is more sedate and less need for all out speed. It's fairly quiet but I wouldn't expect vault-like quiet like a DeVille or S600. LOL Just to help you a little, I saw on Ebay a J30, 1997, silver, with just 56K miles on it (with some warranty!) ... OOOOOOOOOO

Hey, y'all it's been a while! Whoosh! I did something very, very bad . . . But also very, very good . . . I don't have a J30 anymore. I have a 1999 Q45!!! I had to have it. It was a fantastic price and I liked the way it looked an everything. I will miss the J but the 1997 to 2001 Q45 has always turned my head. The new Q does NOTHING for me. It seems to me that Infiniti wants to get ... Read More...

Green 1997 J30

RBCook: I also have a dark green 1997 J30. The correct name of the color, as listed in the J30 catalog for that year, is Cypress Pearl. It has a yellowish cast when viewed in certain lights at the right angle, while the dark green on earlier years had a definite blueish cast. There is an earlier year that parks near me at work, and I can see a distinct difference. When ... Read More...

My J30

My J30 was built in April 1997, and originally leased from Lokey Infiniti in Clearwater, FL in June 1997 by a close friend of mine. When I bought it in April 2000 for the lease residual value, the mileage was 7,764. The price wasn't cheap, but then I was getting a practically brand-new car, and I knew that my friend had taken exceptionally good care of it. The car was ... Read More...
