I just had to replace the motor mounts on my 2004 I35. The mount I had to get was quite a bit more expensive than previously thought because as it turns out, the motor mount has a sensor on it and we had to get it from Infiniti. The repair people ( not Infiniti ) had no idea what that sensor did. Anybody know? Thanks.
Hey, I have an 04 I35 and having the same problem with the sub going off and on at random points and recently my speakers (the left channel) are very low esp when i turn the cd player on. I have a 04 I35 and the sub will work then go off for days then come back on. I just ordered an amp for the back sub. I have also had a problem when running over a big bump that the drivers side channel cuts out. (it is still on but very low, if you put the balance to the left side you hear it a tiny bit) Then it ... Read More

Hello, everyone! my car (24000 miles) has been recently making louder noise when idling, the sound is something like "duh-duh-duh.... " in faster frequency. In normal driving, it can be heard but not quite clear, it may because of road and wind noise overwriting the sound a little bit. Another thing is when I park on driveway (not level) to start the engine, the ignition sounds louder. So I thought something ... Read More

2004 Infiniti I35 - Recently after having had the battery replace, my sunroof stopped operating. I strongly believe that the fuse must have blown, but I cannot locate it. I have looked on the layouts of: 1) the fuse box by the hood release, 2) & 3) two fuse boxes next to the battery, and 4) one other fuse box on the other side of engine under the hood. It is ... Thanks. Yep, it should be one of the most reliable car. However, I posted a 1500 RPM vibration issue couple months back. Since then, I took it to the dealer 3 times. Dealer ended up replacing the tranny because they found metal shaving inside the tranny. But that didn't fix the problem. They spent hours on it and the vibration was still there. The only major thing that they didn't replace ... Read More
I love my car, and bargained hard. The dealer wanted $27,988 and I told him to "buzz off" in a nicer way. I shopped around, all over the US, and finally decided to give him a chance. I offered $25,500, they countered with $26,995. I said, hey, a dealer in Boston is willing to sell for $25,999, with the Cold Weather Package.(Quirk Infiniti- they still have a few left I think) ... Thanks jchan2 - just bought it an hour ago. My wife got a Pilot a couple months ago and I wasn't up for another round of bargaining. Turns out this was the only Infiniti dealer in all of NJ (I called every one listed) that had any new i35s left and he told me over the phone the price was not negotiable. It was actually nice not having to go through ... Read More
The IRS uses the standard figure of $0.35 per mile for tax purposes, which may seem high but that's the average amount that it costs to run a car, considering depreciation, wear and tear and gasoline charges. That's about $1050 deducted from your planned offer price. Some dealers still have 2004 models with 0 miles on it and are willing to bargain. What region of the country are you in? Some ... Read More
At the end of January I purchased a 2004 I35,from Quirk Infiniti, Boston, MA - Black with Beige interior, Rear Spoiler, Trunk Mat,and Rear Splash Guards. MSRP $31,850. I was able to negotiate a purchase price of $26,000 before title and taxes. I thought this was a good deal. The dealership's internet department has offered me two interesting situations: A: A brand new 2004 Infiniti I35 with no options but a few accessories: Price: $27,988 B: A used 2003 Infiniti I35 with the Cold Weather Package and "low miles" for about five thousand less- or around $22,900. I have asked the dealership for details on this used car. Thoughts? Opinions? I plan on test driving the I35 ... Read More
I'm not sure if waiting another month will get you a lower price, as the dealer's cost will probably be the same, unless Infiniti corporate comes up with more incentive dollars. Then again, you might miss out if you wait longer, as they might sell out before you get there. The I35 is an attractive buy right now due to the 05 models coming out, at higher prices. Plus, they're already ... Read More
