My passenger side low beam h/light is out and I am told its not the bulb. I want to buy a complete replacement ballast and igniter control but don't know if I should get the one plug or two plug? How do I tell which of the two types I need? This is the type of assembly that is currently in my car. Thanks much for your help. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-00-04-Infiniti-i35-i30-Xenon-D2R-Headlight-ballast-H- ID-Igniter-Control-Unit-/200609640193#vi-content

Should I Purchase 2003 Infiniti I-35

If you can get 50K miles for around $10k, I would jump into it. The Upside: - I35 3.5L V6 has a sporty engine, timing chain, good transmission, yet luxury. It runs well and last. - Since 3.5L V6 is thirstier than 2.5L V4, gas mileage won't be as good as smaller family sedan, yet it is still much better than a SUV. - I35 was manufactured in Japan with most ... Seeking general input re: quality of this car. Historically, I am a Lexus driver. I have held preliminary discussions regarding a 2003 Infiniti I35 that has been well-cared for and has very low mileage. The consumer reviews I have read are very mixed. The reports regarding gas mileage are very confusing. I need a vehicle and am looking for reliability first, followed by quality. Will you share your thoughts with me? ... Read More

Believe it or not, I had, until just 1 month ago, 1996 Infinity I30 with 150,000 miles on it but I never took the car in for service to dealer. Only things I did was regualar maintenance and spark plug change at 100,000 miles. Only things that went bad were knock sensor and O2 sensor. I even had original rotor in it. I have now 2003 Infinity I35 with 55,000 miles ... Read More

Hello everyone, My dad just bought me a 2003 I35 for my birthday. I used to have a 1998 S70. I LOVE the infiniti however eventhough it comes with a Bose sound system which my volvo didn't have (it came with the stock sound), the bass on my volvo was MUCh better than the i35. You could see the windows and mirrors vibrating if you put it all the way up ... Read More

Thank you for your post. So far its been great. The car was previously titled in the state of New Jersey. They have front and rear license plates so I am left with two unsightly holes in the front bumper because PA only has a rear plate. I bought a chrome Infinity plate. I am trying to figure out to to mount it properly because it doesn't match the holes in ... Read More

Was your color Autumn Bronze? I know for 2002 and 2003 Infiniti sold the I35 in two additional colors- Millenium Jade and Autumn Bronze. (Did they make Autumn Bronze I35s for 2003?)

The dealership's internet department has offered me two interesting situations:   A: A brand new 2004 Infiniti I35 with no options but a few accessories: Price: $27,988   B: A used 2003 Infiniti I35 with the Cold Weather Package and "low miles" for about five thousand less- or around $22,900. I have asked the dealership for details on this used car.   Thoughts? Opinions? I plan on test driving the I35 ... Read More

I'm not sure if waiting another month will get you a lower price, as the dealer's cost will probably be the same, unless Infiniti corporate comes up with more incentive dollars. Then again, you might miss out if you wait longer, as they might sell out before you get there. The I35 is an attractive buy right now due to the 05 models coming out, at higher prices. Plus, they're already ... Read More

I am curious where people are located that have had their headlights stolen. I am just north of Boston but drive all over and those postings make me a bit nervous. I stopped by the Nissan dealer yesterday and they said the headlight kit for Maxima won't fit the I35 (mine's 2003). They even called Infiniti to verify there is still no kit out for the protection. Gender: Posts: 1 Headlight theft «Thread started on: Today at 5:51pm » I recently had my headlights stolen from my 2003 I35. The repair bill itemized the headlights at nearly $1200 each. After doing some research, I discovered that Nissan had the same problem with their 2000-2003 Maximas, eventually providing a "theft-deterrent kit" to consumers. The police department told me that there is an increasing number of thefts on the Infinitis ... Read More

The April 2003 Auto issue of Consumer Reports states : "Think of the I35 as a previous-generation Maxima with heavy makeup and a hefty markup or as an interim car, marking time until its replacement, based on the 2004 Maxima, arrives for the 2004 model year." Whats the main difference between the 2003 I35 and G35 models. They're both supposedly rear drive 3.5 engine cars. Why would they be competing against each other.
