The main purpose of my post was to report the differences in dealers...I didnt really post what they did since my vehicle is a 97, and most people here have 2000's (or even 2001's now). I just picked up a 2001 I30 Luxury yesterday morning. Who else has had problems with the wind noise from the rear window? Has anyone gotten a dealer and/or Infiniti to own up to it? To pathy57: Look closely at the 2001 I30 before you leap. Like I said earlier, the manufacturer is aware of the wind noise problem, but doesn't know how to resolve it at this point. There may have to recall some cars. Make sure you listen closely when you test drive one. Don't have the radio or A/C on during the drive. Check out the security system as well. The security ... I am caught up in a dilemma whether to go for an Infiniti I30 or a Lexus ES300. Had anyone driven both ? Which is superior in quality and service ? I have taken the test drive for both. The lexus seemed to be more quiet than the Infinity. But then the Infinity had a better pick up and felt very sporty. The leather interiors were far superior in quality than the Lexus . Please ... I have a '97 I30L coming off lease this month so I have been actively shopping for a new car. My two previous cars were a Lexus ES300 and a Mercedes E300. I recently test drove the 2001 I30L, I30t, Lexus ES300 and GS300, Audi A6 2.7T, MBZ E320, and BMW 530i. Right up front I want to state that the 3 German cars are fabulous. Right on roxie1...Life is too short to be crying about your car all day long. I caught myself doing the same thing when I first bought my 2001 Luxury Infiniti. I was nit-picking the car to pieces!
