I have a 2011 G37 convertible sport. Of course, I have the same problem and had the same problem with my 2011 M37 sport which I traded in after only 9 months thinking it would be better but its the same tranny. I've gone through all of the bull with infiniti and they say the same thing about the tranny. Its just the way it was designed. OK, ALTHOUGH ITS VERY ... Read More
I have a 2010 G37 coupe purchased in Nov. 2010 and have had similar problems. The transmission seems to be erratic at times especially if you are not driving aggresively (I like to call this soft pedaling). I may be going about 30 mph and than try coasting and the car shifts to a mystery gear, the RPM drops to 1000 and it holds there momentarily even if I continue to ... Read More
I'll throw in new info from another unhappy 2011 G37 owner. I had the 2009 7spd which performed great. Talked myself into the 2011 when Infiniti offered to forgive last 5 months of my lease. Right now, all Active & Reserve Military qualify for the Infiniti VPP best tier through the end of September. Maybe someone else on here knows if they will extend the VPP top ... Read More
Anyone know how much these are going for nowadays? I will be returning from military deployment next month and will probably drive down to Dallas and check out the Infiniti dealerships down there. Just curious if anyone has bought any recently and what they paid for it? Thanks.
I wonder why you test drove the Acura TSX but not the Acura TL. I am no expert in this field, but it seems to me the TL probably compares "better" to an Audi A4, BMW 3, Cadillac CTS and Infiniti G (etc, etc). After having owned 29 Audis, I sent emails to dealers requesting quotes on an Acura TL "advance" AWD, an Audi A4 Prestige with sport package, an Infiniti ... Read More
You may have to do some more up-to-date research before commenting.......the resonant tailpipe tone on my G37 Coupe is intentional. The resale for my leased G37 is 56 percent which I understand is great for this segment. Hmm, I wasn't aware that I had to do "research" to your standards in order to comment here. Thanks for the advice but I've done the research....and, I owned a 2009 Infiniti coupe. While ... Read More

Advice from members there suggested that after 500-600 miles break -in, drive the car hard, don't hold back. My dealer told me to drive in DS mode as much as possible. I will mention, though, that the new CTS is worlds better than anything Mazda makes. It's positioned in Europe as a BMW 5 series competitor at a lot less money. My parents just went through this exact same scenario. And had it down to the same models are you are looking at. And the CTS just simply was a superior product to the Infiniti. The only vehicle that gave it serious ... Read More
Does it have to be new? I have several that I'd recommend if you are willing to consider something a couple of years old, like a 2008 CTS. 20K, give or take, and just about perfect for your needs. I guarantee that it's not "American" in how it's designed or drives. Probably the only thing that GM has for sale now, in fact, that is like that. My second recommendation is ... Read More
Current list of vehicles for this thread include: BMW 3 Series, Infiniti G35, Acura TL, Lexus IS 350, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac CTS, Lexus IS 250, Audi A4, Acura TSX. The G35 has been replaced with G37 since 2009 model year. Now that G25 is unveiled and, given the fact that both IS350/250, 328/335, and TL/TSX are on the list, both G37 and G25 should also be added. Thanks in advance.

Going through a stage of life crisis and coming off of my M35X lease hopefully to lease a 2009 G37X Coupe with Premium and Nav. MRSP is $44,765. Invoice on Edmunds is $41,114. Dealer says he will be $1,000 under invoice. I am a high mileage commuter so I need 20,000 per year on a 36 mo lease. Dealer does his magic with Infiniti book and computer and says $640 for ... Any news on whether Infiniti will be adding any extra incentives on the purchase of an '09 G37 during the last week of 2009? I have a very good offer on Dec. 24, but would hate to close on 26th and be sorry on Monday the 28th of December! I thank all for sharing thoughts as you have saved me hundreds (or thousands)!
Just sent you a message. I recently took delivery of a new 2009 G37S Coupe 6MT with premium pkg and a list of "other" fluff(illuminated kick plates blah..blah). Total paid 33.3k+ttl. This was from Beshoff Infiniti and the buying experience was just awesome!

My sister has a 2007 Infiniti G35X and I have driven that car many times. The car is a rocket, so I can only imagine how fast the G37 must be. The Infiniti is not a comfortable car at all. My brother in law hates it. The car is definitely more sport oriented than the TL. Now as for the TL, it has lots of room and is very comfortable. I ... Read More
I purchased my 2009 G37 sedan, obsidian black, 3/30/09. I use the paint sealant from Girot's Garage, helps keep down the swirls. Easy to put on, about 30 minutes to do the whole car. I use Meguiars 3 step -1.cleaner, 2.polish and 3. Carnuba Wax. Takes awhile, but it does a fantastic job on the black paint. I am a little obsessive about maintaining the car. I use Simichrome polish on ... Read More

I share your experience with the sports seats, and there are similar comments on some of the G35/37 forums. My G35 is first generation with normal seats, but I have been shopping for a 2009 G37 6MT sedan. I should start out by saying that I am 6'-4 1/2 inches, 260 lbs. I work out and my butt is not large. The Infiniti press release states: "the front of the G Sedan is highlighted by its new headlights and grille...." It then goes on to state: "the G37 Sport models also receive a new, distinctive front fascia and seperate lights".
