I bought my 2006 G35 sedan from a dealer in California when it had 11,000 miles and was 1 year old. I was assured the 4 year warrantee was valid throughout North America. Within a year the paint began to delaminate, not from the front, but from the sides and rear of the car. The (Calgary) Infiniti dealer's response: see if the car had been in an accident and repainted. If ... Read More
I am considering buying a 05' Coupe. I test drove a couple cars last Sunday and I too seemed to have the seat belt problem. I am 5'9" and it kept scratching my neck. Once I put the belt in the holder, only got a little better. Did not test drive it on a highway, didn't hear any road noise, but it did haul ass. Can't wait until I have one ... Read More
I tried what nick1958 did and had the seat buttons moved. Didn't solve the problem. The seat rails on either side do not support the center of the seat. The design of the seat is fatally flawed. Infiniti should have had a whole new seat designed for the US market. People test drove the car and complained but the dealers could do nothing about it so they would deny the problem. ... Read More
The Infiniti G35 Sedan seat from 2005-2006 model years is defective by design. There are two metal rails that run below the right and left side of the seat cushion. That is the error. Must have been a design decision by some French engineer at Renault. On most vehicles, this metal rail is below the seat line. Try a Lexus. But in the case of this model, the rail is raised ... I just got out of my 39 month '06 G35X lease and into an 09 G37X. One thing I can tell you is that the money factor is not nearly as good as it was this time in '06. Hello everyone, I'm looking into leasing my third Infiniti vehicle as the lease on my current 2006 G35 Sedan is coming to an end in October, 2009. This is a quck update. I bought the 2006 Infiniti G35 6MT I was leasing last month - about 7 months before the lease maturity date. Dwynne, Consumer Reports didn't say Infinity dealers are desperate, nor did I. The implication is that sales are slowing and dealers will 'deal into holdback'. Does anyone has any information on the rebate on the 2006 G35 sedan for December ? The current $2500 cashback from Infiniti is expiring on 11/30/06 (tomorrow), so I was wondering as to what rebate Infiniti will come out for Friday (12/1/06) ?
I've decided not to pay more than $28k for the car. So, I'm priced out of the market. I am not an Infiniti salesperson, but just curious as to why a 2006 G35 would not be worthy of your consideration and what other makes/models would you be considering? At about the same MSRP, a 2006 based model G35 with sunroof is certainly attainable for $28k right now, whereas a 2007 will ... Read More

I am sorry to say, trini305, that there is probably no chance of you getting this car for $3,000 below invoice. Infiniti is providing $1,000 dealer cash on the 2006 G35 Coupe right now, but this cash is not compatible with Infiniti's special lease program. If you were paying cash for or financing this car using Infiniti's special 1.9% to 3.95% program, you probably could get it for slightly under dealer ... Read More

Hi poorprof. I personally would never pay more for a longer lease, but I like to get new vehicles every couple of years. Whichever term you choose, $200 over invoice is a good price for this car. If you haven't finalized this deal yet, you're in luck. Infiniti Financial Services' November buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan with ... I too got a chance to check out the new 2007 G35 sedan at an Infiniti launch party last night. I can honestly say that it is a remarkable improvement on the 2006 sedan. My car is due for replacement and we need a decent sized 2nd car. My wife currently has a 2005 G35 Coupe, which we both love, but it can be a little impractical at times (can't fit ... Read More
$6000 off of MSRP seems to be the "unwritten" policy for 06 G35s at this point. So your offer seems in line with that. You can try to do a little better but maybe only a few hundred bucks. If you like it, buy it! When the 07s hit the lot and people see them going for MSRP, the dealers will probably have no problem clearing out the extremely similar 06s ... Read More
Strictly all email communication with dealership in SW Ohio... MSRP was $38,000 even (incl dest). It was offered to me for $31,952 (about $2811 below invoice) + TTL. What's your opinion on this deal? Think there is a bit more room to bump it down? My 2006 G35 does have the problem you describe. I've had it at Infiniti of Orlando twice now with the issue and they continue to tell me they don't have a fix either but "are close". They also told me they would call me when the fix was available, I didn't need to bring the car in again. I started to notice the shuddering around 1900 miles and my car now ... Read More
I just went and had my look see at the new G35 sedan. Before this, I was leaning toward the TL, but now my bias is toward the Infinity. Didn't test drive, but have driven the 2006 which was fun, fun, fun!!! The external styling changes are not huge, but, to me, significant. I like the grill better for one, albeit plastic, which I did verify. The rear seat room still ... Read More
