the early G35s and FXs were notoriously bad when it came to rotors and brake pads: actually, in the beginning of 2003 or 2004 it wasn't covered under warranty and Infiniti was sued and forced to cover rotors and brakes under warranty because of the amount of people having problems with them and complaining: I had a 2005 FX35 that needed the rotors resurfaced and ... one interesting story; I was in the dealership one time having the FX rotors resurfaced and I heard a guy who had a 2007 G35 sedan in for service stating he was having grinding/shimmering in the wheel when applying the brakes; the service advisor comes in and says the mechanic says that the rotors were completely warped beyond resurfacing and he had to have brand ... I don't know about the EX35 since it is still a relatively new model only in its second year, but the rest of the Infiniti line is prone to pre-mature wearing of the brake pads and warped rotors; I had a 2005 FX35, I made it barely to 11k miles before I had the terrible grinding/shimmering in the steering wheel and pedals when I applied the brakes and smelled a terrible ... Just tried my Thule roof rack (purchased for an Altima 2.5S 2005) and it seems to fit pretty snugly on my Infiniti G35x 2008. As previously mentioned, Thule recommends the same rack for the Altima (05) and the G35 (06). I'm quite sure that Nissan/Infiniti are using pretty much the same sized frame for both the Altima, Maxima and the G35-G37. A small gap seems to appear ... Read More...

The whole story, I currently have 2005 G35 coupe and my lease is maturing on nov 1. My rims are scratched, 1000 miles over and 2 scratches on front bumper i approximate total bill of about $800 for returning a car to infiniti.
