Everything about this car is worth buying, except that it was delivered with front end alignment problems. Wore out the first set of tires in 20,000 miles, due to uneven wear. Replaced the tires with Michlins, same issue, pulled left, would climb a crown, making it unsafe to take your eyes off the road. Two trips to Merchants Tire and two trips to the dealer, same problem. Took it to Mizzels Alignment, they have a visualiner laser system. They quickly and accurately fixed the problem.
The four wheel drive, and rear seat big enough to seat an adult, very fast for everyday use.
The power is plenty, she wants to go. The towing capacity is not bad for it's size. The optional oversized wheels add to the look and handeling. The Bose sound system is powerfull. The back seat works for the tall passangers, where the Camero and Mustang are lacking in space.
The car pulls to the left which wore out a set of Bridgestone tires at 18,000 miles. Merchants installed a set of Michelin tires and aligned the front end, and it still pulled left, they aligned it again, same thing, so I took it to the Virginia Beach Dealer. They tryed twice, same thing, and the service manager said that it was within specs. It will pull left over a crown sloped to the right that has a 1' in 12' slope. They took care of a bubbling dash by replacing it at no charge, and also took care of a speedometer recall. The car is equiped with a lane depature warning system. Nice feature however I prefer that the car would track straight, it is dangerous the way it is.
This is our 3rd Infinti, and 2nd FX35. Nice vehicle. Solid, reliable. Gives a stiff ride compared to Lexus RX350. Feels safe to drive. Backup camera and intelligent keys are nice features. In 24,000 miles it hasn't given us any trouble. Consumer reports rates the 2008 well in reliability and so forth. We may buy out our lease, or lease a 2010 or 2011.
Backup camera, reliability, intelligent key. Feels safe and solid, well built.
The FX45 had the best ride and performance. I am very particular, and I'm happy with the FX45. It's handsome, reliable, quiet, handles well, strong motor, and lighter than the X5 or cayenne. As any performance V8 it has an appetite for premium gas.
Great handling and the 45 is a rarity.
Navigation is poor - cumbersome interface, incorrect routing, slow processing. My $100 Tom tom is markedly better. Add Auto-dimming sideview mirrors rather than constantly tinted, ventilated seats
