Ok where to start? Adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, ikey.. The list goes on! I felt like I stole this beauty at the price I paid. This was a former Infiniti lease, that i picked up. It has 29k for the miles. Its 3.5l 280hp rwd is like driving a Z car, but with soo much more room. Sure it has Bose sound, but I enjoy the engine more! All I have to say is if you haven't driven this vehicle, you are truly missing out.

Favorite Features

Engine, all the cool tech stuff (esp in an 05). Like driving a Z but you don't have to worry about attracting the MAN (aka police).

Suggested Improvements

Possibly ipod interface??? But it's an 05 with 29k for miles... so none.

2005 Infiniti FX35 AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Review

It is simply the best looking and performing Crossover SUV for the money that I could find. I test drove everything in the price range/ model years. Nothing American was even close. Runners up were the Porsche Cayenne (too expensive, but awesome) and the BMW X5 3.0 (underpowered and a bit rough riding) The FX35 has great acceleration and really moves out on the freeway. Handling is amazing... feels like a sports sedan. SAFETY features, AWD and NAV system make this a real smart cruiser. Everything within arms reach inside. AND the EXTERIOR... well, everything else seems ugly now. Biased opinion I suppose.

Favorite Features

Exterior design is elegant, aggressive and simply beautiful. The creature comforts inside are spoiling me rotten. Snug fitting seats and a terrific BOSE stereo system make it a pleasure to go to work... even at 4:30a.m.

Suggested Improvements

The original tires seemed a bit loud. They were replaced. It made a big difference.

I love to drive this car! I bought it primarily for safety, but it quickly turned into the best car I have ever owned. It handles nimbly and quick, like a sports car. The engine is powerful and fast - I have avoided several accidents because of the maneuverability of this car. With the AWD and 20" tires, the car holds the road and I feel in total control, even around tight corners. The interior is slightly small (great for me, since I'm 5'2", but a tight fit for my husband who's 6') but the comfort and luxury makes up it. I would recommend this car to anyone!

Favorite Features

Beautiful exterior. Powerful engine. Agile handling.

Suggested Improvements

A little more interior room. Better rear visibility.

I was not familiar with the car and my husband wanted to buy it. I now LOVE it. I love driving it on road trips the seats hug you! I love the engine I wanted at 350z and feel like I got a bigger version. My kids even love this car! I'm thinking of trading it as my kids are going off to college and am having difficulty parting with it. I didn't think I would but like the others said the one down side is the gas it is a drinker.

Favorite Features

I have satellite radio the Bose radio system is AWESOME. I also love reclining back seats and rear air.

Suggested Improvements

Auto rear door hatch would be nice and the rear door can be heavy. Also it would be nice if the rear glass opened as an option.

What can I say. Power, good looks, fun to drive, & reliable who could ask for more? This Infiniti is an excellent vehicle. My wife couldn't stand the design at first but now drives it more than I do. Plenty of power when needed. Fuel mileage is good for an SUV I get about 15-17 in the city and 21-23 on the hwy. Ride is a bit bumpy but it is to be expected for a more sporty ride. I handle and take curves better then my 98 Q45. Compared to the Lexus RX and Acura MDX it is by far the more exciting to drive!

Favorite Features

V6 power, leather, sunroof, 6 disc in dash CD changer.

Suggested Improvements

Ride is a little harsh when tires are worn (keep good tires on it.)

I've leased this car for three plus years now and am really having a hard time with the thought of turning it in. Mine has the standard 18s because I do live down a country road. I've beefed up the power with a Stillen system. I highly recommend this for anyone serious about exploring the car's true sports potential. Not that the car is underpowed stock but wow this mod really helps let the beast out. Now with 300+ hp it just loves to run. The beemer crowd are often shocked when this car not only hangs with them but leaves many behind. Ok so I'm a little old for an outright sports car but this one is stealth personified.

Favorite Features

Pretty much everything about this car is first rate. I've gotten almost 40,000 on original tires. Like the manual shift capability and the rev limiter to stop me killing myself or the motor. Comfortable cruiser with teeth. good in all weather conditions.

Suggested Improvements

Paddles shifters, now standard on the new ones, gas mileage, but you do pay for power.

I have tested ALL SUVs and crossovers. I have been a mechanical eng for 30 years. When I researched this FX and drove it, I was sold on the spot. Every day I drive it I like even more. I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to spending $. I just want what I pay for. I felt this was the only SUV that gave me that feeling and still does. Quality from back to front and top to bottom. It just came down to how much quality do you want for your money.

Favorite Features

Everything, style, ride sound system . Exhaust sound, performance, gas mileage, etc.

Suggested Improvements

Ok brushed aluminum? This SUV deserves much better, maybe I'll send it in to be chromed.

I purchased my FX35 used in 2007, I had been wanting one for a least a year but was torn between the FX35 and the VW Toureg. Well I made the right choice I have fallen in love with this car. Coming from a VW beetle a 4-cyl to a powerful V6 was an adjustment when it came to the extra power. This car gives you the best of everything it rides smooth like a luxury car but has that size of an SUV. My fiance' and I took it on a trip to Las Vegas and it did great.

Favorite Features

Design of the exterior and interior room. Love the sound of the exhaust!

Suggested Improvements

The rear window is tiny but fits well with the overall look of the car. I do not like the brushed silver moldings they scratch easily.

I previously owned a Honda Accord but wanted a vehicle that would give me more room and a classy look. I never expected to purchase the FX35 but after viewing the ivory pearl color and test driving, I immediately feel in love. This car is a real head turner and I've gotten so many compliments on its design. I have plenty of leg room and its fun to drive.

Favorite Features

I love the memory seats, technology package, homelink, rear view camera and headlights. Each day I find out something new. I love my car!!

Suggested Improvements

Better gas mileage, navigation touch screen and wood grain interior

I owned an fx35 a while ago and absolutely loved this vehicle. It gives you the feel of a high powered sports car. I recieved compliments everywhere I went. I would recommend this car to people who love making a statement. Only bad downfall is not a very kid friendly car.

Favorite Features

Steering wheel adjuster, sound system, memory seats, too much more to list.

Gas mileage
