Buy a Hawk PC pad for about $70.00 on the internet and have a repair shop install it for you for about $60.00. All I can say is I have a 2004 FX35 AWD with Sport Package and other than a rattle in my sun roof which was quickly fixed by tightening some screws, I have had ZERO problems. Of course, I only have 15,000 miles on it since I only use on the weekends but still, pretty good, no? Jon.

I have a 2004 fx35 with 31200 miles on it and am looking to buy an extended warranty for it. The Honolulu dealer has a zero deductible plan of 60 months/60,000 miles for $3564.00 Is that a fair price? Does anyone know of a better deal with a zero deductible? preferably from an Infiniti dealer. Warrantydirects price is about $1400 cheaper. How are they to deal with?

My wife has a 2004 FX35, suckered into a 60 month lease, still owes $12,000, $30,000 to pay lease off, wants to trade early cause already has 72,000 miles on it. Wants another Infiniti lease (either G35S or another FX35) but cant find a similar payment. Currently paying $575/month. Any advise from anyone out there?

Just picked up a 2004 FX 35 from a good friend. I have noticed a smell of burning rubber or plastic after driving it for a few minutes. I have the 2WD version. Depends on what part of the country you are in. Here in the Pacific North West you're lucky if you can get a 2004 for less than MSRP. In areas of California, Texas, Florida, etc. you can get an '04 FX35 for well under invoice. If you fell like taking a little drive, try Quirk Infiniti up near Boston (Braintree, MA actually). Enterprise
The FX35's sold to Enterprise were all 2004's when they first came out. They were not dumping inventory. The FX45's have been slow to move - because most people see the 35 as a better value. The FX is beating projections and is the second best seller in the Infiniti lineup. I just wanted to clear up that misconception.

Infiniti made no announcements regarding the revised suspension affecting the 2003 FX models. The salesman might just be tricking you into a 2003 model. AFAIK, the revised suspension only affects 2004 models. For 2003 models, the compliant suspension is on the FX35 with no Sport or Technology Packages, i.e. Base FX35 or FX35 with Premium Package.

Houston area dealers?
Can anyone fill me in on experiences with Houston dealerships? I'm finding them not very anxious to do deals on FX35's which strikes me as odd since they're obviously not selling well here. Between the 3 Houston dealerships there are easily 80-100 of the FX35/45s in stock and they admit they keep getting more. I went to an Infiniti dealership in the Washington, DC area over the weekend, and they didn't even want to negotiate on a FX35 with Tech package. They were at $46,500, which is MSRP. I thought that they would want to get rid of them since the 2004 models are coming in... but I guess not. Does anyone know where I can get one for $500-$1000 over invoice?

I went to my local Infinity dealer last night to try the FX35 and G35. After driving both, it is hard to decide what I like better. The G35 is of course more agile and smaller feeling.
