    My 2008 Veracruz with 61,000 miles has a plugged PCV valve and will need new spark plugs. I just took the vehicle into Hyundai service dept. for standard 60,000 service. My quote was a bit over $550.00 I got another phone call with the above problem. After spark plug replacement and adding a new battery & wiper blades now the cost is $1300.00

    Replying to "squeak in rear of Veracruz" regarding spare tire: Our 2008 Veracruz had the same squeaking noise. My spare tire & housing completely fell off bottom of undercarriage all over the road without warning. Apparantly the cables holding the spare tire were worn or "accidently cut when the hitch was added". Not covered by Hyundai.

It has been 3 weeks since last repair and seems to be ok. We carry keys in padded hearing aid cases and have attached 2 inch thick foam mattres to garage door.

    I own a 2008 Veracruz LTD. with 20,000 miles While driving on Interstate 101, going at 65 MPH, check engine light comes on and accelerator became nonresponsive. Had to get towed to Hyundai dealer. Dealer found code P22106, P1295 and 2135. Dealer performed TSB 09-FL003-2, replaced the TPS and reprogrammed the ECN. Hope this fixes the problem, because it is a serious safety issue when you can get stranded anywhere!!

    A good starting point is to go to www.fitzmall.com and see what they sell the same car for. I think they have your configuration at $32,381 + $99. Look at stock# H038876 for example. Then - negotiate with other dealers and see if they can beat FitzMall prices.

    At the Hyundai Service Website, I found instructions under Shop/Veracruz/2008/Body Electrical system/Lighting system/Head lamps/Repair procedures/Adjustment. It also shows you how to adjust your fog lights. If those are off, you could adjust the headlights all day long and not fix your problems.

    Dealer names are fine - we've had problems with fake referrals for individual salespeople (bird-dogging for referral fees) so please don't mention your salesperson's name.     Yes it replaces the sunglasses holder. It's based on a JCI blueconnect system. That system doesn't mute the radio. It has it's own speaker. I hear it's not bad but could be better.
