I also recently test drove a Veracruz to replace my Pilot that was totaled in an accident. It was nice but it didn't feel like it had 260hp and the six speed transmission was shifting like crazy. I have a 2007 GLS FWD and live in Iowa (so I got more snow than you did). I had a hell of a time with the Kumho's on ice finally after getting stuck in my own driveway on ice I went and bought a set of Michleans (sp) and didn't have any more problems all winter. This is right up there with weird things. Recently our 2007 Veracruz as experience a condition where its electrical system just dies. No power to anything. Wait about 30 minutes and it works fine. I spoke with a friend who works in Hyundai's Parts department, and he said that there is no spare input. The 2007/2008MY radios have a back input, but it is used by the XM receiver (a separate receiver from the AM/FM one). Did you buy this with the special financing rate? Here in NJ it is 1.9 % and you can't get the $1000 rebate and the financing. One or the other. The dealer has the silver limited with ultimate package with black saddle interior. We really want it but this current Volvo lease is a main factor. Even the nhtsa database contains a record indicating a TSB for headlight adjustment campaign issued Nov. 1, 2007 for the '07 Veracruz. TSB number is 0701012. NHTSA item number 10023592.
