You are the best at crunching numbers..can you crunch a few for myself and my wife through Hyundai Finance - 36 months/15,000 miles year - we have a trade in: 2003 Santa Fe GLS AWD in fair condition (thinking we could get $2,500 from dealer - although KBB is around $3,775) 2011 Hyunda Tuscon GLS AWD MSRP = $24,4780...SELLING PRICE = $23384 Greatly apreciate it! Eric
No problem, Nick. Let's crunch some numbers and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS AWD that has an MSRP of $23,145 and a selling price of $22,543 through Hyundai Finance for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around $316. I've just passed 5000 miles, still getting very poor mpg. Around 17/20 city/hwy the comuter has shown 24 on highway for short times, but once I hit a hill or some wind the mpg suffers major. I have noticed that this car is extremely sensitive to wind and terrain and speed. On a flat road with no wind going 60mph I could maybe get 26, but how often does that happen. ... Read More

In October 2011 I purchased a 2012 FWD Tucson Limited without premium package at Team Hyundai Mall of Georgia in Buford. I really wanted a sunroof, but wasn't necessarily interested in paying for the premium package, plus there were no vehicles available with that package at the time. The dealer had the color I wanted in a Limited, so they agreed to install a regular sunroof (not panoramic) that is covered ... Read More
Hello seeingred56. Hyundai Finance's January buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Tucson GLS FWD with Navigation and 15,000 miles per year are .00156 and 56%, respectively. The inclusion of navigation has no impact upon this truck's lease program. I would be happy to work up a sample payment on the exact truck that you are interested in for you if you ... Read More
The locks switching at random times were the final clues for my '05. I could reproduce them switching slow by switching the driver side button many times in a row. I finally insisted the dealer do something about it. After they contacted Hyundai, Hyundai reported that they had had problems with the driver's side door control panel - the panel with the window and lock switches on the driver door armrest. ... See my post (as TAM5CD) to see how I identified the culprits on an '05 Tucson after the dealer was no help. From your post, I see that Hyundai still has a problem that has persisted for several years. We got rid of the Hyundai we had. TAM5CD
Prior problem with transmission never fixed. After 2 wks service decided it needed a new wire harness on entire car. I had already mailed a certified letter to corp. because of lemon law. the dealership offer us to swap for another car but all they had was 2012's and they treated the defective car like a trade in. They made it sound like the lemon law was tough to prove and ... Read More

A small group of owners may not be a good "gauge". However, when it is "you", you'll feel differently. It is not a safe feeling to be going 70mph on the highway and suddenly your 2 mth old HYundai Tucson makes a loud bang with a big jolt. I read post #22 and my experience is identicle only my 2011 has 1,300 miles and is only 2 mths old. I knew ... Read More
Has anyone other than me had their car transmission go 4 times in 5 years??? That's my story, the latest breakdown was June 25, 2011. So just how many vehicles is "known for transmission problems" or "listen to all the problems with 2010-2011 models"? A forum of a small group of owners (and many trolls) is hardly a gauge of how many problems there are with a model or manufacturer. One person posts an issue and it's blown into a catastrophe. Fact is it's a very small percentage of the total number of owners.
Hyundai is known for Transmission problems. Just check out the Sante Fe Forum and listen to all the problems with the 2010-2011 models. Seems they try to correct them with updates to the vehicles computer. Lots a Luck.
I am shopping around for different crossover SUV's and it seems like Hyundai's Tucson might not be as popular seeing that the last post was over a month ago for "Buying Experience". I was debating between a Honda CRV and Toyota RAV-4 but decided to give Hyundai a try for once. I wanted to go for the Kia Sorento but I am still a bit nervous since they haven't been around ...
