Ac compressor pulley problems

Has anyone had the ac compressor pulley fall off...We took the 2006 Hyundai Tucson to the dealer because of a squeaking noise in the engine..they told us to go to a car wash and spray the sepertine belt as it had dust that was causing the noise...That was three weeks ago. Today while driving..the power steering went out and we noticed a burning smell...the belt looked ... Read More...

Hyundai Tucson Transmission Problems

Re: 2006 Hyundai Tucson [sonotuh]

Hey sonotuh. Don't know if you're still having trouble with your transmission...and I don't have any answers for you as yet...but I've experienced exactly the same problem as you. I wasn't able to put my 2006 tucson into reverse. It was like that position was completely blocked by something... All the other gears were fine though...I pushed my car out of the driveway ... Hyundai Tucson Audio Radio MP3 iPod CD Stereo

Switch out the standard for the CD Changer

I'm about to buy a 2006 Hyundai Tucson. The one I'm looking at just has the basic CD player radio. Does any one know.. If I were to buy the cd changer model on ebay, can I just switch them out? Are all the wires/plugs on the back the same? I dont know a great deal about wiring, so I'd prefer something that's plug and play. Thanks! Read More...

Hyundai Is Not Standing Behind Its Vehicles

So here's a new situation that I haven't experienced with any of my previous cars (none of them have been Hyundais). As a background, I own a 2006 V6 AWD AT Tucson, bought new. It only has 22,000 miles on it. I've been getting about 18.5 MPG in mostly city driving until about a month ago when, all of a sudden, the mileage, as shown by the car computer, dropped to around ... Re: 2006 Hyundai Tucson ESC light problem [robare]

It's been 3 days since I cleaned and adjusted the brake switch on my 2006 Tucson (19,255 miles) So far, the "ESC OFF" light has NOT come on. Previously, the ESC OFF light would come on and stay on even if it was a short or long trip. The only way to shut the light off was to stop and turn off the ignition. DUH IT's Electronic Stability Control = ESC Read More...

2006 Hyundai Tucson ECS light problem

I recently bought a 2006 Tucson and after experiencing the "ECS" light problem I read with great interest the comments posted here. I have a shop manual for the 2006 Tucson and it clearly shows that the brake switch is a dual switch. One set of contacts for the brake lights and one set of contacts for the "ECS" circuitry. The "ECS" contacts are closed until the brake ... Read More...

Hyundai Tucson battery and alternator

Radio draining the battery

I copied this from another place: airflyte, "Hyundai Tucson Maintenance and Repair" #10, 13 Jan 2007 12:57 pm#9 After my Tucson sits for two days, the battery goes dead. I took it to a Hyundai dealer and they showed me the Technical Service Bulletin for the Sonata, Tucson and Azera. The Bulletin number is 06-90-015, dated March 2006. The Bulletin states, "If the ...
