Review

The 2.0L GL is my wife's daily driver for the past 4+ yrs. Other than regular maintenance, no major issues. We've put 85,000km on the car, incl. a couple of big road trips to the east coast. Gas mileage? 20/25 city/hwy is respectable for this class. For the price? This car has turned out to be great value.

Favorite Features

Fold down rear and front passenger seats.

Suggested Improvements

5 speed tranny. more sound insulation for road noise. More comfortable seats.

Review

I traded in a 1999 Pathfinder for this used 2005 Tucson. So far it does most of what I expected it to do. I did loose some cargo and tow capacity with the trade, but the extra MPG makes up for it. It could have more road handling. You don't want to push it too hard into the corners. The stock stereo had to go. I couldn't hear it on the freeway if all the windows were down. The tie downs in the back could be a bit stronger or moved off of the cover.

Favorite Features

The roominess, A/C, cubby holes/storage. Fuel ecomomy. All the seats recline.

Suggested Improvements

Armrest should be moved foreward 2-3 inches. Move the shift knob back an inch to keep from hitting recirculation switch on HVAC. Need stronger anchor points in cargo area. A rear sway bar or bigger one. Move the oil filer so it doesn't let oil run down the sub-frame.

Review

When I purchased the Tuscan, I was looking at the Santefee.... I was drawn to the Tuscan for more leg room ... (I am 6'3") I have enjoyed the comfort up front, but the mpg is not that good. I have taken it thru snow, responded well, I have taken it on vacations, good too. I have never had to replace anything other than the drive belt. This car is really a reliable vehicle. It just stinks when it comes to mpg.

Favorite Features

fold down seats.... for camping, the rear cig lighter is perfect for filling up air mattresses.......Stable I am a volunteer firefighter, and this vehicle has brought me in time...

Suggested Improvements

mpg..Other than that, nothing...

Review

This is a great truck. It meets my needs for something fun to drive, comfortable, and with a good basic sound system. It meets my husband's needs for something that looks "rugged" that can handle hauling all of our camping equipment for our trips to the North Shore. It handled great through the MN winter and is a fun truck to zip around in.

Favorite Features

Great heating & air systems, pretty good stock sound system, love the comfort and ease of use of everything.

Suggested Improvements

The gas mileage could be better. We get around 20 mpg, mostly city, around 22- 23 highway, but looking into the specs on the truck that's about what you should expect getting into it.

Have had the Tucson 4+ years and still is fun to drive, good in winter and air con works great in summer. Own an Acura MDX as well but end up taking the Tucson everywhere. Could buy a new car but afraid another car won't be as much fun or as reliable...

Favorite Features

Drives like a dream, and cabin is very quiet

Suggested Improvements

Exterior styling needs improvement - the car is too good to look so odd
