2014 Hyundai Sonata Sedan SE 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Review

I have had the car now for just under 1k miles. I do not see much difference with the steering wheel comfort/sport settings. At 6'2" it has plenty of room for me even with the sunroof. Back up camera is good, power is nice, averaging 26 MPG total. Was able to use Boostup website to get additional $500 off for a total cost for the 2014 Premium package SE 2.0T at $26885 before tax, fees, etc. Felt like amazing deal to me.

Favorite Features

Love the Eco button, not sure it really helps much though. XM radio and HD radio are nice, 8" touchscreen is beautiful, touch entry/lock/start/stop is awesome, nice to just put the key in your pocket and go! The turbo engine always has PLENTY of power.

Suggested Improvements

6 disc CD changer Large hard drive for music LED & Xenon lights on SE model as well as limited Memory seat function for drivers seat

2014 Hyundai Sonata Sedan GLS 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Review

gas mileage not what was advertised transmission shifts into higher gears at the wrong time. took it back to dealer and was told it is running as designed. that is there standard answer instead of trying to fix it. complained to Hyundai and that was a waste of time. beware of the advertised fuel mileage, although I am sure it is an industry wide problem of not getting what is advertised as far as gas mileage

Favorite Features

that it runs. car is comfortable to ride and drive. heated front seats

Suggested Improvements

Taller and thicker seats. better gas mileage, make the engine not so noisy.

2014 Hyundai Sonata Sedan GLS 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6A)

Review

I rented a base model with only 300 miles on it. I'm a tough reviewer, but this car really impressed me. I loved the dash - Hyundai made the controls very simple and intuitive - so you'll never get angry at the car because you can't figure out how to work the climate control, cruise control, etc. At highway speed there is zero wind noise (amazing). The quietness, ride smoothness, comfy seats, cold and powerful AC and the quality look and feel to everything are reminiscent of the 1990's Camry's we all loved. Toyota doesn't make a Camry with uncompromised comfort and refinement anymore so it's neat to know the Hyundai does and it's called the Sonata

Favorite Features

Dash controls and instruments, cold and powerful AC, nice seats, ride and zero wind noise at 70 MPH.

Suggested Improvements

No glaring weaknesses I can think of.

Review

with only 46,xxx miles on it. the roof make a horrible creaking noise when going over speed bumps and even worse on gravel roads. should of gotten a Civic EX-L. engine is running fine and everything else is well... it just doesn't feel like it did less then 9 short months ago.

Favorite Features

sun roof controls, blue tooth connectivity, decent sound system, heated seats are perfect.

Suggested Improvements

Add less plastic interior... for 26k it feels a bit too plastic, and after 4 months the buttons on the sunroof began to flake.

Review

I purchased a 2014 turbo SE. I wanted a v6 but did not want to spend the gas for the power, so the turbo fits the bill. With 274 horsepower it has plenty of power for merging onto the freeway, passing, and gets a respectable 0-60 time. I am averaging 23 mpg city, and 33 hwy. The car is smoother and quieter than the 2013 gls we have. The backup camera is nice, it take some getting used to if you never had one. I have already used it to help in parallel parking. I like the handling, steering, power, comfort, and style that the Sonata turbo SE has. I highly recommend the Sonata turbo to anyone wanting the power of a v6 but the gas mileage of a 4 banger.

Favorite Features

Comfort, style, and power

Suggested Improvements

make homelink garage door opener more available.
