Owned a 2006 model, and this car is much improved.

The Sonata was a better value at roughly $7000 less. Value proposition is confirmed by a recent trip to the airport achieving 41 mpg on the 38 mile trip.
The new engine and 6 speed transmission, while not as engaging as the 4 cylinder TDI, provide a very pleasant driving experience.
Great value. Good mileage. Industry-leading warranty. Spacious interior. Looks good inside and out.
Couldn't find a GLS with alloy trim package. Will now have to find an aftermarket solution, but not a big problem.
Parts shortage in Japan hit just about everyone with inventory.
