I read the Motor Trend test that included the 2012 Camry and 2012 Passat. They also got bad gas mileage on their Sonata GLS. The Camry LE got 6.5 mpg more than the Sonata in their test. That's a huge difference. It shouldn't be any more than a 2 mpg difference. The EPA figure suggests only a 1 mpg difference. Time will reveal the problem. I wouldn't take the dealer's word, that's for sure!Report it
The fine print on the sticker for MPGs is on EVERY car. It's a huge range for sure, but every car's window sticker shows that huge variance in mileage. Even though Hyundai was sued over mileage claims, there are several owners saying they can obtain or beat the EPA rated figures. It boils down to your driving habits.Report it
