Re: Forester -- should I heat the leather? [ateixeira]

Hey juice; She signed the papers on it tonight. The car is blue booked for private party at $16,100. Trade in, $13,350. She bought it for $13,500. I think its a screaming bargain myself. Local Hyundai dealer said it hadn't been wrecked, and could see where the oil had been changed and tires rotated. Filters starting to get dirty, but not overdue for replacement. ... Read More...

wheel squeaking noises

Does anyone have a problem with high pitch squeal/noise coming from the wheels of the santa fe? This happened in my first one, a 2002, and of course, I had to have the breaks done and rotars too. I thought with the new model- a 2006, that I would not have it. But after a year, it started again. It is a very high squealing that seems to be coming from the back wheels, that ... Read More...

Re: New to Santa Fe and this forum [tonyflan07]

Hi - there are two things you can do : In the search box on the front page, type in front air bags and it will bring up the previous posts about this well known issue and what others have experienced. Also go to the website of the Government Office of Defects Investigation complaints page(www.odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/complaints) and check out Hyundai Santa Fe 2007 - there ... Read More...

Re: HMA Service Question [graybeard1]

The first generation (2001-2006) of the Santa Fe was the SM, the 2007+ redesign is the CM. I don't know if they really stand for anything, they may just be model codes used by Hyundai. Read More...

Check the Hyundai Online Shop Manuals Access discussion for links. This post would be a good start: doohickie, "Hyundai Online Shop Manuals Access" #7, 27 Nov 2006 11:13 am There's some other links in the Online Repair Manuals guide, but I think most owners are pretty happy with the free offerings straight from Hyundai. Running BOARDS for 2006 Santa Fe

Has anyone had these installed? Are they worth the nearly $500 cost? Are there more reasonably priced sources of supply? I'm interested in running boards, i.e. NOT the tubular type. It seems Hyundai has withdrawn their own running boards. Any info on source and general comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Read More...

Re: Beware of National Customer Service. [buco]

Here is link to Yahoo reviews. http://local.yahoo.com/details?id=33666482 I have heard great things about purchasing through Costco. My friend purchased a 2006 Ford F-250 King Ranch Edition and saved way more than any dealer was offering at the time. I still think that Hyundai is producing a great product. This is our second Santa Fe. We never had a single ... Read More...

Re: REAR WINDOW WIPER NOT WORKING [kalaban]

I own a 2006 3.5 4WD Santa Fe and have 55,000 kms on it. The transmission starting leaking at about 50,000 kms and the dealer told me it seems to be a 'problem' with the Hyundai Santa Fe. The leak occurred at the front of the transmission and the dealer told me it would be the internal seal which joins the transaxle to the transmission. The mechanic told me that the problem ... Question.....

I have a 2006 Santa Fe. As you may know, if no one is sitting in the front passenger seat the passenger side airbag is deactivated, and there is a light in the dashboard which tells you it is deactivated. When someone is sitting in the seat, it activates a sensor in the seat, the airbag is then activated and the light will then go out. I've noticed on several occasions.....I ... Read More...
