I leased a 2009 Genesis Sedan (V 8 with techno package) a week ago yesterday. i think "24/7" is just a neat marketing term developed by Krafcik. Much more than just a neat marketing term, but an entire product development and rollout strategy--revamp Hyundai's entire lineup within two years. Not sure what you are saying about redesigns. It depends on where you start counting. For example, the start of their "24/7" initiative was the Tucson, in late 2004, followed by the Gen 4 Sonata, then the Gen 3 Accent, Azera, Accent hatch, Santa Fe, Entourage, Veracruz, and finally the Gen 4 Elantra (ok, that's actually 24/9, oops!). I've read that on Carmax in California they have a 2009 Genesis 4.6 Tech with 17k miles going for 35,998.00 If that is true then the Genesis is finally doing what has eluded past Hyundai and that is getting a great resale value. This is great news for owners. Read More...

No problem newser. I don't think that the lease deals on the 2009 Genesis are going to get much better than they are right now. While manufacturers' cash incentives often increase as the model year progresses to help dealers unload their leftover vehicles, leases do not always become more attractive very late in the year. Money Factor * 2400 = Interest Rate .00099 * 2400 = 2.376% 18,000 miles is costing you a lot, chances are you are prepaying for the miles at a discounted rate over 15,000 since most leases only go up to 15k. The residual of 45% is low for a "luxury" car. Hyundais have been and still are poor cars to lease because their residuals are so bad. Read More...
