2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 6A)
Review based on 41000 leased driving miles in SE Wisconsin. No major mechanical problems. One recall repair for defective airbag headliner support bracket. Scheduled maintenance costs low. Ride somewhat noisy and rough, including side-to-side jostling over stretches of rough roads. Poor performance in snowy/slippery conditions (could have been a tires issue). Maneuverability excellent. Feature set excellent - an amazing value for the money. Beautiful exterior styling - got lots of compliments on the car. Interior comfortable, fairly roomy and well designed. Outstanding fuel economy (low to mid 30's combined city/highway). I would recommend this car.
Favorite features include overall fuel economy, maneuverability (very small turning radius makes parking and tight u-turns a breeze), heated front AND REAR seats that heat quickly, keyless FOB with push-button start (very convenient for opening trunk or unlocking doors with a touch of the hand), light blue exterior color somehow never looked dirty, great Bluetooth connectivity with iPhone, backup camera with green/yellow/red distance markings, heated exterior mirrors.
I wish the car had a quieter, smoother and more confident ride - especially in snowy/slippery conditions, power seats (at least for the driver), an auto-dimming mirror, and a better navigation system (often could not find addresses I entered - I eventually used a GPS app on my iPhone instead). Tan leather seats showed dirt and wear from use. I would choose a darker color leather next time.
