For how cheap this car is, it is the best ever, i get ok gas mileage about 26-27, but i drive fast. i get 28-30 when i drive sane, and freeway for trips i get 35, once in the mountains driving around 45mph i got around 42. this car can go fast i drove it thru the desert going to tuscon with no one around on the freeway and i was going 110 and it still got good mileage like 33. i love driving this car. this car is off the ground more than most sedans today so i can drive over normal things without worrying

One thing I really not noticed is that it takes very well to corners and when I need to accelerate quickley I can count on it to give me that edge. I have relied on the breaks several times to help me avoid sudden stopping around me and this was comforting to know how dependable the brakes were. I call her "squirt" because she is small compared to our SUV but has amazing punch and is just overall fun to drive. I don't recommend you make interior any smaller as it can feel cramped with my 6' foot tall quarterback son in the car! He feels it to be snug when he drives.

Favorite Features

The body is somewhat sporty for a four door car. One of my favorite features in the back seat laying down for added space when needed. The lights have a sporty feel to them as well.

Suggested Improvements

I think if there is a way to add compartment spaces to place cell phones , etc... cd cubby somewhere around radio, move the current cup holders down a little and if possible make them extend out a little further. They currently are too close to radio and my fear is to spill a drink into it.

Daily driver and use to deliver pizza. Mileage in city without air running is about 27mpg, with air running is about 25mpg. Definatly less than advertised but can't complain with gas prices. Interior quality is average. The seatbelt receiver cover came apart a month or so after purchase, epoxy to the rescue. Lights went out behind the A/C in the dash and behind the automatic transmission panel but no big deal. The driver seat is starting to wear on the door side, but I get in and out of my car several hundred times a week so I have accelerated wear. A little low on power with the air on but overall it is a good, safe, economical little car.

Favorite Features

Mileage, body design, ample room in hatchback area and back seat.

i have owned this car for 18 months and it is exceptional.. consistently gets 34-35 mpg with a/c running all the time... hard on bumps and slow take-off but thats the trade off for great milage..have not had one thing wrong that required me take the car back to the dealer...

Favorite Features

quick steering, good visibilty, holds the road well for a small car price

Escellent on gas (30 mpg with automatic transmission), but not a "flashy car." Inside in basic, synthetic materials. Stereo is pretty good, however. Plenty of leg and head room for front seat drivers (I'm 6 feet, 190lbs). Overall, a great value. OH- and don't think this car is slow! If you want to do 85 on the highway, this car will satisfy the speedy traveller.

Review

My 2005 Accent is the first import I have ever bought, and because of its price and quality it will not be the last Hyundai I buy. I love the excellent gas mileage (I'm getting 40mpg), the agility, and the build quality. My last car was a brand new Cavalier that fell apart in about a year. My Accent takes anything I throw at it with a smile. The only downside that I have noticed is the tires. They are weak, and any tiny little piece of debris from feathers to cigarette butts may cause a puncture. Other than that an Accent is a smart choice for budget- conscious commuter.

Review

The Accent is definitely economical but it offers a rough ride. The engine is loud especially when accelerating quickly. The ride is stiff (not floaty) you know you are in a small car when you drive it. It will get up and go if you push it but dont plan on any long drives with a car full of people in comfort. Overall I would rate it at about a 6 or 7. It would make a great first car because of the Parking capabilities, fuel economy, low price and warranty. Seasoned drivers are bound to be disapointed. Just try to remember this car is not intended to handle like a Camero or even a Corolla. It is a compact car and performs like a compact should.

Favorite Features

Stereo is equipped with CD player and gets nice and loud. Fuel economy is excellent and you cannot beat the warranty.

Suggested Improvements

More plush on the seats would be nice. Seat covers are a must unless you like to be itchy. Auto door locks and keyless entry would bring this car into the 21st century.

Review

Waited to submit the review until I could actually review it properly. After one year of owning the car and driving back and forth to work all I can say is.. I'm impressed. 5 speed allows me to grab some decent speed from a pretty small engine and the fit and finish of the vehicle still impresses me. I even took it camping last summer and managed to get all the equiment, three people and a dog in.... Wow... Love the hatchback.

Favorite Features

Without a hesitation it has to be the gas mileage.

Suggested Improvements

Pretty low to the ground, I wouldn't mind seeing the front end spoiler being an inch or two higher... mine has a nice scratch on the bottom now :(

Review

I bought my 2005 Accent as a new left over in 06. I bought it a month after I bought an 06 Tiburon as a second car. This has been the best second car you could ask for. It's cheap, reliable, great on gas, has plenty of room for a little hatchback, and is fun to drive with the 5 speed manual. It's a very plain car with no CD player, and no air conditioning which is okay for what I use it for. Most people would probably get a little higher version with these features. It is built very well, and rides smoothly for it's low price of $11,000. And of course, it has Hyundai's wonderful 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on the engine and transmission

Favorite Features

the 5 speed manual is a must, the rear hatch is very roomy, the great price, and 37 MPG

Suggested Improvements

I would make A/C standard but like I said for just a second car it's no big deal. If you're looking for something with lots of bells and whistles this car isn't for you.
