Hope someone can help me assess a used Hyundai Accent. It's from 2001 and has 96,000 highway miles. What kind of reliability could I expect from a 2001 model? Would it be a good first car for a teenager who's wants to travel a couple of hours away for concerts on occasion? P.S. Hi, I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent GL. Recently, it has been having some trouble accellerating, when I hit the gas to get going, it hiccups a few times before it begins to accellerate. It doesn't stall, but it's really annoying and I know there's a problem. Once I get to my regular speed, it's fine, it's just the getting there that's the problem. Has anyone else ever ... Hey, Thanks for the reply... It is really strange. There are no screws anywhere around the spoiler or bezel itself. The spoiler appears to be mounted directly to the trunk lid via three studs coming out of the bottom of the spoiler. Nuts are then placed on the studs from underneath the trunk lid, to apparently hold the spoiler on. It appears that if I could get the ... Read More...

First, thanks for the reply, Ingtonge18. It helped a lot. I know that the 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty transfers to different owners with a Hyundai. My 2000 Hyundai had the warranty active until recently, when I crossed 60,000 miles. A 2001 or 2002 Hyundai would still have at least a year left on the warranty, providing it has less than 60,000 miles on it. This doesn't ... Read More...

Rear speakers, easy! Just undo the four screws holding them in (assuming the design is the same as my 1999 accent where they're either side of the rear shelf, not hidden behind any trim or anything), the speaker will come out, pull the old wires off, and bin the old speaker.
