Re: backy, is the new 2007 Hyundai Elantra [germancarfan1]

The MSRP of a well-equipped 2007 Elantra may very well be $16k (note the MSRP of a stick Civic, Corolla, or Mazda3 with power package and full safety gear is $17k+). But that Elantra won't cost me $16k, unless I insist on buying one when the car first debuts. There will undoubtedly be rebates and discounts available that will bring the price down $2000 or more, based ... Read More...

Honda Fit v. Hyundai Accent

Hyundai has a fan base.

This is a very entertaining forum. Wish I could chip in my 2 cents about a Hyundai, but I haven't driven one since 2000; that Accent was inferior to the other cars we test drove. (Protege, Echo). My husband works around heavy machinery, so wanted a quiet car. Then, the Accent was deafening. However, Phil Edmonston, who writes Lemon Aid, my bible to buying used. loves ... Read More...

Re: Love my 2000 Accent/4 dr/automatic [good4u]

Wow, we should put that to music! It is an accolade worthy of a Hyundai commercial! :-P Just kidding good4U! I am glad you like your car so much. these little cars are great, and it would be cool if more people in the U.S. started realizing that. Any idea what mileage you are actually getting? Read More...

Love my 2000 Accent/4 dr/automatic

I haven't had any regrets in buying my 2000 Accent with 45K from a local small dealership in May of '04. Paid $4500. It now has 70K, and not one problem. It runs great and has a ton of room for a small car. The only thing I did to it was install a CD player. The overdrive is AWESOME, too! It really saves on gas. This car is so much better than our piece of garbage Plymouth Voyager ... Read More...

Gas can light flickering

My 2000 Hyundai Accent's gas (can) light is flickering on and off. Could it be serious? The car runs normal, but the engine squeaks once in awhile. The car has 70K on it. Read More...

I love my Accent

I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent/automatic transmission/4 door. Bought it from a small dealership in town in May of 2004 with 40K. Has about 65K on it right now. Not one single problem. It shakes a little like any little car, but it is more reliable than any of our American-made cars. It's fun to drive, and it sounds "mean" when you accelerate really fast. Gas mileage ... Re: 2006 Hyundai Accent - Winter driving [jordis]

The 2006 Accent 3-door hatchback has been available for awhile, but it is the Accent design from 2000-on, not the new design like the 2006 4-door sedan. Read More...

Re: 1998 hyundai accent stalling [vthuppil]

yes, I can keep the car running if i keep the rpms over 2000. The problem does not occur until the engine has warmed up and has been running for 5-10 minutes. Once i let it idle below 2k, it stalls. Thanks. Read More...
