2008 HUMMER H2 SUT Road Test Ratings

Off-road capability and traditional Hummer styling take precedent over pickup truck functionality.

High curb weight overburdens handling, brakes and engine performance. Even the slightly larger engine (added for 2008) feels this burden.

Unsteady ride feels harsh on segmented freeways. Surprisingly little interior space considering the exterior dimensions.

The nicely laid out interior is fine, but the SUT's truck bed is too small and high up to be of much use.

Exterior design contains traditional Hummer cues, but the interior design is new for 2008, but still a bit too contrived. It seems like a caracature of the original H1. Build quality feels solid.
