Honda made this car a showcase for its
racing and engineering prowess, in the
process creating a future classic.
Plenty of other reviewers have it
right: the S2000 makes few concessions
in its quest to put a grin on the
driver's face. The money went where
it's needed most: drivetrain, chassis,
and suspension. I actually like the all-
business interior, and the seats are
terrific. I've taken long trips with no
discomfort. This one's made to be
Screaming VTEC powerplant which is
perfectly fine below 6000 RPM unless
you're a torque addict. You gather
speed very quickly in this car but you
don't always feel it.
Honda upgraded the stereo for 2002, but
it still needs add-ons to function well
with the top down.
