Driving this car is like attaching it directly to your brain and giving it commands. The S2000 goes where you want when you want it to. It is a superior driving machine. Whether you are a good old boy that loves american muscle, or an import umm "artist", a ride in this car will induce an ear-to- ear grin on your face. I have used it as a weekend/fair weather car and have had very few problems. I had the 3 TSB's performed during the first year of ownership which took care of a few noises and nuisances. Since then it's been perfectly reliable through two autocross seasons and a recent track day. I recommend this car to anyone who likes to drive, and I don't mean in a straight line.
The handling of this car is top notch. It stays glued to the road and goes where it's pointed The shifter is the smoothest one I've even encountered. Snicking through the gears is precise and pleasureable. Hitting 9000 RPM's is a rush day after day. The shape of the car is simply beautiful.
A bit more torque off the line would be helpful through displacement or gearing. I realize they fixed this for 2004 but it should be fixed without lowering the redline. If pushed, this car will step the back out without much warning on OEM tires. A permanent fix for the window regulator is needed.
