Used TMV from $21,215
Likely you will have to buy the entire head unit from a 2009-2012 Ridge, but I would double check to be sure that the player in whatever head unit you find will actually play MP3 discs. Given that Honda installs really low-end sound systems in all their vehicles, I might suggest looking in to an after-market head unit. For sure you will need new speakers too, as Honda's are really poor. ... Read More
From what I've seen, Frontiers have consistently been cheaper than Ridgelines when new, by several thousand dollars, which was a major motivation for my Frontier purchase back in '06. At the same time, used Ridgelines hold their value much better than used Frontiers. There's a message in there somewhere. Toyota is treating the Tacoma just like Ford has treated the Ranger for many years--basically making only minor trim changes every few ... Read More
I currently own a 2007 Honda Ridgeline RTL. I have previously owned a 2002 Dodge Durango R/T, which I traded off in 2007. I have regretted that decision ever since. I traded the Durango for a Toyota Tundra, which I in turn traded for the Ridgeline. I am very happy with my Ridgeline, but the payments are killing me. I recently decided to consider trading off the Ridgeline for something cheaper, ... Read More
Here you go, donchar. Honda Finance's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 Ridgeline RTL with navigation and 12,000 miles per year are .00200 and 51%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier. Hi Car_Man- Any updated lease program info for 2010? To be more specific for a 12000miles RTL w/Nav. Thanks!
I ended up buying the 2009 demo it is titled as a new vehicle, silver RTL with navigation and all the extras listed above for $30500 I had to finance it from a credit bureau and got 4.25% but also called honda financing to see why i was quoted at such a high finance rate. The truck is beautiful, best of luck with yours and thanks again.
Hi Eric. Here's the information that you're looking for. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a Ridgeline RTL with navigation and 15,000 miles per year are .00285 and 44%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier. I'm not sure exactly when the 2010 Ridge will being to arrive at dealers, but given the fact ... Read More
Have the August lease rates come out yet for 36/ mo and 15k/mi yr? Also, when can we expect the 2010 models to come out? thanks Eric
I went for the 2009 due to the changes from the 2008, particularly around bluetooth, MP3, and the backup camera. The interior, I think, is also a little nicer. I ended up at Capital City Honda down in Olympia. I ended up with about $2800 under invoice and the experience in the end was quite good. Email me if you need more info. I know a few other deals who had ... Read More
I am in a similar Lease Buyout situation for my 2006 Ridgeline RT. My lease is up in April 2009 and the buyout is $15830. The curent retail value puts it anywhere between 11,800 and 13,800. Getting a break on the buyout price would be a bonus. Has anyone here on-line been successful in a Honda Lease Buyout negotiation? Any viable input would be greatly appreciated.
On the 2009, it looks like all radios can play a MP3 (via www.honda.com and the Ridgeline pages). Honda site did not easily show the 2008's any longer. From info on Edmunds, it looks like with the Nav option there is a MP3 player input. Why don't you call your local Honda dealer and ask them? Especially the place where you have found a 2008. This is the salemen's job. The ... Read More
I was going to treat myself to a new 2009 RTL, but based on the financial status of our economy, I think it's best to wait and see, There was no need to go out and reward myself with a new vechicle, since my 2004 Honda CRV-EX is fine, with very low milease. I still cait believe there our still 147 2008 Ridgeliner's in a 30 miles radius of my zipcode. ... Read More
And in contrast, there is a 5-location Honda dealer in SE Penna that has 53 Ridgelines. I'm guessing there aren't in a hurry for the 2009s. :)
"Honda is delaying the 2009 model release until January." - ida4128 WRONG! Two 2009 Ridgelines just hit the lot today. Not a moment too soon either, we're down to our last three 2008 Ridgelines. Honda's web site just changed to the 2009 as well.
Options and Pricing
you won't see big incentives on the '09's until the '08's are significantly thinned out. I'm guessing the '08's will be heavily discounted in the fall when you would typically see few remaining. MSRP for the Ridgeline didn't last much past the initial release of the vehicle. I think Honda misjudged what the masses would be willing to pay for this truck - and that was before the sudden rise in ... Read More
I heard today the new exterior colors will be Sterling Gray, Bali Blue and Mocha Matallic. Officially, the new colors, trucks and pamphlets will be available on 9/3 per Honda. I hope my source was correct on the colors. With the information posted on the various discounts for the 2008 model, I am trying to make a decision on whether to hold out for a 2009, prices unknown. Any general thoughts ... Read More
Ohhhhh, I agree about the rear seat. I rode for some hours in the back seat of our 2006. The bottom of the seat is ok, but the back is somewhat hard. Worse, it is too straight up. If it would only be reclined more, it would be much more comfortable. With the seat back not movable, I would think it could have more of a recline. It might reduce the ... Read More
I agree - the changes listed are not significant significant for me would be an increase in fuel economy maybe some more comfort in the back seats.
I see nothing significantly different from my 2006. Still missing are these important items: -Power passenger seat. -Memory controls for seats and mirrors.
I guess I will hold out for the 2009, it's worth the wait. 50 Significantly Changed and New Features Exterior Styling and Features Grille (design) Front bumper (design) Rear bumper (design) Headlight (color) Taillight (color) Bed tie-downs (two additional, eight total) Integrated trailer hitch (new for RT, RTS and RTL) 7-pin trailer wiring connector (new for RTS and RTL) Daytime running lights (new) Three new exterior colors Fog lights (RTL) 18-inch ... I made a mistake in the previous post. Should have stated the full makeover will come in July 2011 as a 2012 model RL. Thanks, Brad
Not a remodel year, just a midmodel makeover. The real makeover will not come until the 2011 model year, so in late 2010. A couple of years away. The larger wheels are nice and the back-up camera. The fogs are a good addition. Supposedly the instrument cluster is changed but no pics as of yet. Brad
Looks better than current model. Bob
doesn't look like much of a change purely cosmetic the lines on the truck seem to be the same Is the '09 supposed to be a remodel year for the Ridgeline?
Here are some photos of the new 2009 Ridgeline. Some of the changes include a "Pilot" type grill, daytime running lamps, fog lights, integrated trailer hitch, rear back-up camera, redesigned wheels. http://www.leftlanenews.com/wp-content/plugins/iimage-gallery.php?idpost=7802&id- g=1&idi=3 Hope you enjoy, Brad
4.5L Duramax Here is info. on the new Duramax. It will be manufactured in Towanda, NY. Will be available as early as 2008 for 2009 model year and no later than calendar year 2009 in the 2010 model year trucks. Ford will have a 4.4L V8 diesel in the F150. Bad news is Ford has already reduced it's planned production numbers for the new engine. It will be manufactured in Mexico. ... Read More
I agree. My 4-year Rigeline lease is up in April 2009 and I will definately get another...preferably a diesel. ps. I live in a small community of about 800 households and there are now three Honda pick ups here.
Edmunds Inside Line has some spy shots of the '09 Ridgeline. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=121392#2 Bob
The Colorado is abysmal in quality and finish. The 5 cylinder engine rounds out the list. One is down to the Tacoma, Frontier and Ridgeline for something in the mid size segment. Possibly the Dakota if you need to tow but then you can get better deals and quality in the Full size Chevs/Fords than the Dakota. If you want quality in GM you have to go with the Silverado/Sierra full ... Read More
"The Colorado is abysmal in quality and finish." Says who? I am aware that they have had some reliability issues with some 2004/2005 models regarding valve springs and premature tire failure, but I am not familiar with quality and finish. I have seen and driven several of these trucks and they are a very good truck. The Colorado will be redone for 2009 from what I hear, and for those finding ... Read More
Sandyl, I don't think the 2nd generation of the Ridgeline will not come until 2009, so the 2008 may not change much. It is possible the car could benefit from a new 300 horse power engine in '08; the same engine the Pilot will get in '08 and the same engine the Acura MDX has for their '07 model. I really like the Ridgeline - most everything but the looks which ... Read More
