Edmunds.com here has a section that will give the MSRP and 'Invoice' amount for any autos. At this time, they may still have both 2011 and 2012 sections up. If not, if you can look at the sticker for both a 2011 and 2012, pull a few numbers. Pull the 'base' vehicle price. Then if there are Factory accessories, pull one of these. As I recall, the transmissions used in the Ridgeline starting in 2006 were the first "new" 5-speed transmissions used by Honda since they had all their transmission problems in most of their vehicles--like the problems you have had with your MDX. The same transmission has been used in the Odyssey since 2008. We just picked up a new 2010 RL RTL to replace our 2008 RL RTS. It turns out that ... Read More

You, and I, bought the first model year of a vehicle. The first year almost always has more 'startup' problems. Yes, radio noise on early models is a known problem. Yes, strut problems is a known problem also. I do think Honda didn't do good design work on the struts and should step up and help owners on these problems. Ohhhhh, I agree about the rear seat. I rode for some hours in the back seat of our 2006. The bottom of the seat is ok, but the back is somewhat hard. Worse, it is too straight up. I'm also a power freak and love the pickup the truck has for as heavy as it is. And praise Honda for the dual action tail gate!!
I just purchased a 2006 Ridgeline and they are now offering 7 yr 120,000 mile warranty. I think they are trying to match other warranties.
BTW this post does not confirm it, nothing online ever does until the auto maker releases it (which they haven't yet), but click here: http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/new/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/38535/vehicle/2006-Honda-- Ridgeline/ and go down to the "News" section. But anyway, just sharing some info I ran across. May be awhile before it can be confirmed online. george
Hi Larry. The formula that is used to calculate vehicles' lease payments is outlined in the following article: Calculate Your Own Lease Payment. Use it, along with the MSRP and selling price of the truck and Honda Finance's 2006 Ridgeline RTS 36 month, 12,000 miles per year money factor of .00042 and residual value of 61% to calculate your truck's lease payment. Hi racheysdad. Since you are new to the world of leasing, you definitely should check out the following informative articles that are available here at Edmunds.com prior to visiting any dealers: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment. Honda's lease program on the 2006 Ridgeline is very attractive right now. Like most manufacturers' advertised lease payments, there appears to be a little room left for ... Read More
Greetings siny. Both the selling price that you were quoted for this truck and the money factor that was used to calculate its lease payment look attractive to me. Let's calculate a lease payment on it using Honda Finance's actual lease program to compare with the payment that you were quoted. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL with a moonroof with an MSRP ... Read More
Hey kayakdog. Honda Finance's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month, 12,000 miles per year lease of a 2006 Ridgeline RTS are .00042 and 61%, respectively. This informaiton is definitely right and your dealer will know it when confronted with it. Demand for the Ridgeline is soft enough that you should be able to get the dealer that you are working with to lease you ... Read More

Total monthly payments $11,718.00. Option to purchase at lease end $16,385.00. 15 cents per mile over 12,000 miles per year with MSRP less than $30,000. I have owned my Ridgeline for 6 months and would like to (objectively) share the following to help others decide whether the Ridgeline is the "right" vehicle for them. Please consider the following: Very good: car-like ride, cab space, under bed storage, overall styling Good: miles per gallon, tailgate opens traditional style and barnyard style Poor: A typical Honda - somewhat under powered (too much gear shifting). Would not recomend Ridgeline ... Read More

I really like them both. Personally I like the styling of the Ridgeline(although many seem to hate it). Here's a video of the Tacoma: http://www.automedia.com/video_vault.asp Here is a review of the Ridgeline by autoMedia.com: http://www.automedia.com/2006/Honda/Ridgeline/a/rts20050301hr/1
Hello kayakdog. You are in luck if you have not leased this truck yet. Honda recently enhanced its lease program on it. I will estimate what its lease payment should be like for you using the prices that you mentioned and the new improved lease program. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTS with an MSRP of $30,625 and a selling price of $27,256 ... Read More
Greetings jbam1. The lease money factor that you were quoted for this truck definitely looks a little high to me. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of any 2006 Ridgeline is only .00160 with the payment of a security deposit and Honda Finance's $595 acquisition fee. It looks as though the dealer that you are working with may be marking-up Honda's base money factor ... Read More

Hello shfawaz. If you were to lease a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RT through American Honda Finance Corp. right now for 24 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00160 and 68%, respectively. Honda is not currently providing any cash incentives on AHFC leases of this truck. Car_man Host Smart Shopper / Prices Paid Forums
Hello, The Honda dealer across town from me is advertising new 2006 RT / AT Ridgelines with a MSRP of $28,215 for $25,437 + tax, tag, title. I have been looking at Tacomas, and haven't really even thought about a Ridgeline until I saw this ad. Last I had heard, dealers weren't knocking much off of Ridgelines. Is this price consistant with prices that some of you guys are seeing?
I'm new to this board and am thinking about getting a new Ridgeline. Please tell me more about this computer/trip advisor and WHY Honda would disable it. AND, is this something they did on ALL the new Ridgelines? Actually, I'm looking to find all the Pros & Cons about the Ridgeline. Big hunk of change to spend if there are a lot of problems. Thanks
Ridgeline Owners: The trip computer/trip advisor was disable by Honda so I wrote a letter to Honda and yesterday a lady called me and ask me if I can fax her the picture of this trip computer picture to her from the honda brochure. Do any of you have this picture? If so please let me know, I would to have a copy to this and fax this to her. thanks. ... Read More

There is a shot that Honda will drop the base prices to be more competitive with the other pickups in the Ridge's class. If this happens this will have a domino effect on the resale value of 2006 Ridge's. I doubt this, as a Ridgeline RT at 25,500 (near invoice) is already cheaper than a comparably equipped 05 Taco, but the Taco won't have all the standard safety features or the ... Read More
I have been in the market for a Ridgeline since March. I have come close to buying/leasing on a few occasions. Back in March, I would have had to pay MSRP. A few things kept me from purchasing, Gas prices being one of them. I decided to wait it out to see how sales were going. As we know sales were not as good as expected. At the end of June, ... All around the cowl and "A" pillars. The seams were not sealed properly at the factory.(see other posts about this) The dealer had 6 pages of photos and instructions on how and where to seal up leaks. The parts were special covers for the seams, they looked like door edge guards. They covered the places where 2 pieces of metal came together. Now the dealer does not know what to do. ... Read More
