Hey, so I don't know 'ALL' the technical specs about honda preludes, but I am seriously considering buying one and did many hours of research. Honestly you should buy a prelude from 1997-2001, One because they look way nicer, I'de say sexy, and you can actualy buy them at the same price maybe one or two grand more depending on the millage. Just make sure you take your time to find ... Read More

Hi all. I have a '97 Prelude I am looking to sell and all of the Honda Techs suggest there is a group of folks who like to buy them and deck them out like you are discussing. How might I find those folks in the Tampa Florida area?

I was driving down a back road and hit a deer. Because I stopped short, the car went down in the front, the deer flew up in the air like an acrobat and landed directly on the middle of the hood. It costs $7000 to repair. I'm a perfectionist, the car didn't have a scratch on it before. So I will trade it in if I can figure what to get. ... Read More

1997 Honda Prelude, 93000km I have owned this car for five years and kept it in immaculate condition since day one. It has never been winter driven, has never been in an accident, has won numerous awards at local car shows, and has been serviced regularly by the same mechanic. I am selling it because I will be moving to Ottawa next month. 1997 HONDA PRELUDE, 2 doors, FWD, 4 CYL, ... Read More

posted about it before, but here goes again: My love affair with the Prelude began when I was 16. The '92s were out and 4 days after I got my White/Grey with white mesh wheels 1992 Chevrolet Beretta GT, my best friend who lived across the street from me got a 1992 White Prelude Si. It wasn't the flashiest car in the school parking lot, but definitely one of the coolest ... Read More

I guess the answer to your question is whatever the newest car with the least amount of mileage you can afford is. One of the beauties of the Prelude is that it remained relatively unchanged from 1997 - 2001 (it's last year of production, not 2002). Aside from a few exterior color changes, a slight change to the grill, and different seat fabrics the cars are all pretty much the same. ... Read More

I'm looking to buy a 93-97 honda prulude, but before i do I want to buy a more high powered engine and rebuild it so that when I get the car I can just drop The engine in... So, I was wondering if there is a V6 or anything of higher power than the stock engine that will fit in a 93-97 prelude with minimal modification needed to fit in the ... Read More

I saw the TSX at the NY Auto show a few months ago. I didn't care for the exterior styling much. The front looks like a Japanese A4 while the back looks like the previous generation Camry. I thought the interior was nice though. CAR AND DRIVER (p81 July 2003) had some interesting things to say about the TSX as it compares to the Prelude. "As far as handling characteristics, the ... • 318ti vs. Prelude, remarks, oil, weather, S2000

Excellent Post Himiler. I think we're all a little biased on this board. The 318ti is a nice car (afterall, a BMW). There's a guy on the 3 series board who has a the Club Sport edition, races it, and swears by it as far as reliability goes. The 318ti (or compact as it is known in Europe) has a rear suspension that is actually quite archaic (from the E30 platform, ... Read More

Agreed. A truly ugly vehicle back in 1997 now has rather sharp looks. How's that for a surprising turn of events? I think the Prelude has always had some surprisingly good lines. The 4th gens look very aggressive; not as aggressive as a Dodge Stealth or similar-era Camaro/Firebird, but much more aggressive than the comparable Integra, Mustang or Celica, for example. The 3rd gens look like upright NSXs. Even the 2nd ... Read More

Bear with me here. 1990 was a very interesting year... actually, maybe the most particularly interesting thing about 1990 is, stay with me here, Bush was president then too! I mean, it was ... Hi everyone out there... I'm looking for a good, reliable, and fast car. I've been looking into coupes for the past month, and I was wondering if a used 1997 Honda Prelude typeSH was a good car to buy/find. I know a used car wouldn't be over 20,000, or even 15,000 at that. So say if I found a 1997 Honda Prelude w/ a spoiler, sunroof, and ABS, with the rest ... Read More
