I have a 2010 Honda Pilot and the air stopped blowing cold air. The blower is working and the heat works but it's like the compressor stopped working. It has engaged one time and it blows cold air but then it stopped working again. Anyone have a suggestion?
I am getting a group of Pilot Owners who are having a problem with their Pilots when the economy kicks in. Most often it is described as a shudder or like driving down a bad patch of road. As a group we can get Honda to finally look at this problem and quit telling us it is normal. I have a 2013 that does this, while my 2011, 2010 and 2006 ... Read More
I have a Honda Pilot 2011 Tour with 75k miles. I am on my second set of Honda front rotors and they were just re surfaced 8/10/13. The service writer said" Honda Pilot rotors need to be re surfaced about every 28k miles. My toyota 4 runner went 100,000 before I had to resurface. I expected similar quality from Honda and am dissapointed, but it is fixable. I understand my 1996 ... Read More
The shortcoming with my 2010 Pilot is the handling at speeds above 60MPH and when applying the brakes. I replaced tires, balanced and aligned the car and only after acting like the irate customer I was the service writer tells me it was the rotors causing the handling problem. I had a brake job done 8 months earlier and the rotors were resurfaced. The service writer tells me the pads are ... Read More
I noticed it when I was backing out of parking spaces and turning to the left. It was easy to replicate and after a test drive the Honda techs said I needed a new left front axle (this is a short axle that goes from the transfer case to the wheel, not the old fashioned full length axle). Also they put a new boot on. The problem has not come back ... Read More

I have a 2010 Pilot Touring in mountainous country in western Canada. The first brake job for warped rotors was partially warranty and I paid for new pads at only about 26,000km/16,000 mi. Car shuddered and steering wheel shook when braking, particularly downhill. This can be intermittent as the rotors cool and sometimes straighten then warp again. these are the standard symptoms of warped rotors. the next was about 45,000km/28,000 mi. ... Read More
Hey Gatorbaiter, Sounds like a good deal to me! I can't say specifically on an EX-L current price but i just did nearly the same thing with my 2011 EX-L in Dec. So it sounds like the Pilots are holding good value and Honda ... Read More
Same thing on my wife's 2010 Pilot with 20,000 miles. Having grown up working in auto repair, there's no way to call this problem "normal wear and tear". I'm going into the dealership to see if they'll take responsibility for the poor design and/or materials. In general, I'm very disappointed in the quality of this car and feel like the Toyota Highlander or Buick Enclave would have been a better choice. ... Read More
What city is your dealership in? I have never had that kind of experience with my dealership in Gainesville, FL. They've been outstanding. I would report them to Honda America, so they get their butts chewed out for this kind of shenanigans.
I took it in for the 3rd time, took the service manager out with me. Even with the extended warranty he tried to say they couldn't tell what it was and could not just try to fix things. I may mention the front axle seal.
The VIN did not come back as a match, but will be taking it in ASAP. I have hondacare so hopefully whatever it is will be covered as I just hit 36k miles.
The suspension recall affects both 2010 and 2011 Pilots, so that is certainly a possibility for you. You can go to the website recalls.honda.com and plug in your VIN and find out today. Your VIN can be found on the dash or on your insurance card. However, my 2011 Pilot was not affected by this recall, but when I noticed an odd popping noise coming from the left front suspension and ... Read More
I have a 2010 honda pilot, I recently noticed some rattling/something loose in the left front. I saw there was a recall on the 2011 due to some issue with the front suspension, has anyone had this problem with a 2010? I am going to take it to get looked at on Thursday. I hope it's just something loose and can be tightened and nothing major.
I have the same prob on my 2009 EXL. It started when the car was about 38K miles. I owned several cars beforehand, and had never had brakes go this soon. We just bought our 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L less than three weeks ago. It had eighteen miles on it from the start. We have the exact same problem with the moonroof not closing all the way. Took it in the first time to be recallobrated, to no avail. They ordered a new track, and installed it along with a new motor during the second service. Just got it back tonight and ... Read More
>"I just returned from a trip in my 2010Pilot 2wd. I got less than 22mpg on the interstate with cruise set at 755mph. ..... Is this what others are getting? Seems low to me." Seems about right to me, or maybe a bit high for 75 mph. A Pilot pushes a lot of air. Air resistance is a formula: Frontal area of the vehicle times the speed squared. At 65 mph ... Read More

When I was looking at the end of March, I couldn't find a 2010 either - they kept disappearing as soon as one was found. I finally found out that Honda was offering the incentives for 2011s when a dealership ran out of 2010s. I was able to lease a 2011 from a dealer who was out of 2010s. You might ask the question about incentives on 2011s. Good luck.
I just completed a frustrating month trying to get a 2010 Pilot with the low financing rate, to find out there are no more 2010's available. Has anyone heard of the low financing becoming available? Any thoughts if Honda might do this again for this model?
seems you did well, on overall, comparing the discounts i got. I ended up at 32000.00 OTD, where as i started off with 28000.00 for the suv. Add KARR for 695, and an interest rate of 6.7% (in this age and day of low interests), eventually it ended up at 32K, thanks to 9.75% sales tax of alameda county. Guess, what, I came home and applied for online loan with BOFA, ... Read More
