I just happened to disagree with that because you first negotiate the price of the vehilce and then you decide where to finance the car. To proof you this, go to the dealership with a pre-approved loan fro your bank of choice that way it would be the same as if you had paid cash for the car. I am also looking for an extended warranty (VSC) honda pilot Saccucci Honda seems to be cheaper and accredited by BBB. However there is a lawsuit between Saccucci Honda and American Honda and their website indicates their - " Online sales of Honda Care will cease November 1st, 2009" I have inquired easycare warranty they are quoting way to high $2600 for 84 months ... On our 03, If a door is opened and left that way for a while, or a door is not closed all the way, the "automatic" interior lights will turn off after a few minutes. EXCEPT for the lights in the lower panel of the front doors. They stay on and are hard to see from the outside as their position doesn't light up the interior much. On our 2008 Pilot the inside "manual" headliner lights don't shut off when the doors are shut and the key out of the ignition. I think this is the craziest thing in the world. We have two young kids and an active life. On occasion they turn the light on to see something (gets dark quick in MN), wife pulls in garage, and then everyone piles out...leaving a light or two ... Somehow the sales figures I posted re-ignited the discussion. Great. That title should really be changed to Highlander, Pilot and CX9, now that even 2010 CX9 is available at dealerships. Believe it or not, most people buy vehicles based on brand reliability reputation. Honda/Toyota obviously have the upper hands. Most people I know questioned my decision ... Read More...

Although this is all subjective, I have to fully agree with legacygt. I have been working for Honda for the past 9 years and I have owned a handful of their vehicles, mainly Civics and Accords and one CR-V. Honda may build exceptional quality vehicles but they have always been weak when it comes to brakes. Braking takes a lot of effort and durability of components ... Read More...

It’s not even remotely true that the new Pilot was “almost universally panned” by the reviewers. The reviews were actually unusually polarized – usually there is a general consensus on a car in the professional community but in this case it got panned by some and lavishly lauded by others.
