MDX vs Pilot and problems
Hello all- I am leaning towards purchasing a used (2006-2005) MDX but also considering the Pilot. What do you think the financial incentives will be post-labor day? Any 0% for 36 month financing, or extending 0.9% for more than 36 months? And anything I should be evaluating between the pilot and mdx other than cost? Anyone have both or experienced what repair/maintenance ... Read More...
Re: First year bugs [solo]
all I keep on reading is about the 'road noise' that is still in the new Pilots... wife has a 2006 Pilot EX 4wd... overall pretty decent EXCEPT for that road noise issue.. horrendous.. she has 7 more months left on her 3 yr lease.. starting to look around already but the fact that Honda is dragging its feet on curing that road noise issue stinks... BTW.. it's definitely ... Read More...
Re: 2006 EX-L AWD Pilot Mileage [kipk]
In April 2008 we drove from Indiana to Myrtle Beach in a 2006 Pilot AWD. The general MPG breakdown throughout the trip is as follows (and keep in mind we were loaded to the gills with baby stuff - but we were not pulling a trailer and we did not did we have a roof box ). Indianapolis to Cincy Through Kentucky on a very windy day - 18-19 MPG average @ roughly 70mph in the midwest. ... Read More...

Re: This Pilot Owner is Flying to Veracruz [prosource1]
As a 06 Pilot owner, the failure of my air conditioning system with only 51,000 miles and the general arrogance displaying by Honda towards consumers in both customer service and the abysmal design offerings by Honda force me to go elsewhere, I'll either buy the quality offering by Hyundai in the 'Veracruz' or wait for the 4-cylinder Santa Fe in 2010. I feel your ... Read More...
Found a TSB for the Booming/Humming/Droning Noise
I just found this TSB referenced in the Hondapilot.org forums (excellent forum if you haven't already found it.). The bulletin predates the 08 model. Broken back tail light
Hi Every one I am fairly new to this forum. I was wondering if the back tail lights on the 2006 will fit in the 2004 Honda Pilot since some one or some thing has broke our left tail light so I am thinking of changing them with the clear ones from the 2006 model. Also, how difficult would it be to replace these tail lights. Thank you in advance. Read More...
Re: Pilot odometer issue/mileage overage [eljay]
I recall receiving something from either Honda or the law offices/court coresspondance to Honda dealers. I'll see if I still have it but in a nuts shell the settlement was that for the 2006 model year and older (can't recall how old) they would get a 5% additional mileage allowance for warranty and lease calculations. Enjoy your CRV. :) Read More...
Re: 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L with Navigation [rwakayama]
I have a 2006 model but I don't think that would be any different than the '07 in this case. My rearview camera shows the entire rear bumper (as I think it should), the camera being on one side of the car makes the rear bumper image out of proportion and I see more of one side of the bumper than the other, nevertheless I see the entire bumper. You may check the camera lens/assembly ... Read More...
2009 Pilot 4WD Touring Model
About one month ago, I took possession of my 3rd Pilot having owned a 2003 and a 2006. I must say that this model is the very best so far. The ride is great, tire roar/inside cabin noise is way down, and the interior is among the best I've seen. Even the standard bells and whistles that come on this model are awesome. I have no complaints and, if it weren't for the price ... Read More...
Honda Pilot vs Mazda CX-9 vs Toyota Highlander
Pilot vs Highlander vs Veracruz may have been better comparo
The CX-9 is simply more comparable to the OutlookCadia than the Pilot or Highlander...It's substantially longer (it has 11 inches on the Highlander - just like the General's 200 inch long rigs)...So this is a goofy comparison in many ways...The Veracruz is a better size/price equivalent. That being said - I traded a 2004 Pilot EX-L for a 2008 Highlander Limited ... Read More...
