Honda Pilot Roof Racks

Re: Carrying for the long haul [mike072]

I just purchased a used 2006 Honda Pilot that does not have the cross bars for the luggage rack. I would like to add my Yakima bike racks to the top. I am interested in your post showing you did this. Can you provide more data on what the parts are you used? Thanks! Read More...

Front air dam replacement

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm always reading. Anyway, besides going through the local dealers parts department (which will be expensive) does anyone know where I would be able to get a replacement lower front air dam for the passenger side. Oh yeah, I have a 2006 EX Pilot. My wife the other night after our lovely development finally decided to plow the ... Read More...

Re: Is there a place cheaper than https://www.myhondawarranty.com/ [tjc30]

I am looking to buy an EW for my 2006 Pilot (10K miles only so far) and I found https://www.myhondawarranty.com/ has the cheapest rate for 5yr/60K. Is there any other place that I can get it lower ? Not likely. They usually have the lowest prices in the business. Honda is trying to stop them from selling them online, so buy soon. Read More...

Honda Pilot 2009 with Infants/Kids

Re: Honda Pilot 2009 with Infants/Kids [sidb989]

When we had our third child we knew we needed another vehicle, so our parents let us borrow their 2006 Pilot for a few months. This is pretty much the same vehicle as the 09. The third row seat is really ment for children or small nimble adults. To get in, you have to lean AND slide the second row seat forward so yes, you would have to remove any car seat in the second row. ... Read More...

Re: Should I buy an ew on a '06 pilot exl (no nav or dvd)? [jet10000]

Jet, It took me a good bit of "googling" before I was willing to admit "defeat." I couldn't find clear answers on any of the big three online sites that are mentioned most often in this forum nor at a few more that popped up on a google search. Finally I found this at officialhondacare-at-delrayacura.com and was able to see that you were 100% correct: Do you have a 2006-2007 ... Read More...

Honda Pilot Lease Questions

Honda Pilot Lease

Interesting situation that I thought I would share with the group. I just got off the phone with AHFC since my 2006 Pilot is coming off lease next month. I was amazed at the extension of the lease option. I can extend up to 24 months, at the same rate AND I could opt out at anytime. The way it was explained to me is that I can say, yes I want to extend for 6 months, then after ... Read More...

2009 Pilot Accessory Upgrades

Hello everyone, I have been driving my 2009 EXL Pilot for about a week now and I love it. It is lot better than the 2006 SR5 4runner I have been driving for the past 3 years. Anyways I wanted to see if anyone had any information about some topics I want to discuss. 1) I just bought a cargo cover for my Pilot and noticed it does not fit properly. Basically the 3rd rolw seat ... Read More...

Re: 2006 Pilot: Transmission Fill Location [vibo]

Where the dip stick is located, look completly on the opposite side of the tranny near the fire wall you will see a tube with a bolt holding down this tube on the tranny. Remove the bolt which is about 2 inches long and grab the tube with your hand. pry the tube left to right till it gets loose and it will lift right off. You can now put a funnel there and fill your tranny. ... Read More...

2006 Pilot: Transmission Fill Location

Will someone describe where I might find the transmission fill location on my 2006 Honda Pilot (EX 4wd)? I have found the drain plug underneath, and of course the ATF dipstick, but I cannot find the fill plug. The location is not given in the owner's manual. Perhaps Honda does not want "Weekend mechanics" doing weekend maintenance. Any help would be great!! Thank ... Read More...
