Re: Turn In '06 EXL-Res or Buy it [seatlsteve]
If you want to buy yourself more time you can extend your lease with a simple phone call to AHFC. You can extend for up to 24 months under the exact same terms as your existing lease. It is a month to month lease. The mileage is prorated. We love our Pilot (2006 EX-L with RES) but the residual is a lot more than the fair market value and Honda won't budge on the buyout price. ... Re: 2009 or 2010 Pilot [azelizabeth]
Elizabeth, We have a 2006 EX-L Odyssey with NAV and RES. From our experience, an aftermarket GPS is the way to go. They are much more accurate, can be updated online for free, etc. Our Odyssey's NAV has an older source disk (2005) and many neighborhoods are not listed. The new source disk would cost more than a nice Garmin. We are buying a Pilot and really like the Bluetooth ... Read More...

Re: 2006 Honda Pilot EX-l warranty [rmulay]
It is more than 36 months old so what options do I have to buy extended warranty. The dealer quoted me $ 2300 for 7 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. The online dealers do not sell genuine Honda Care warranties for vehicles that are more than 36 months old. Check out the company who is providing the warranty your dealership is offering very closely. Some ... Read More...

Honda Pilot Transmission Problems
Re: Dead Transmission on 2003 Pilot [piloterror]
I had the exact same problem with the same service history. Honda would not help at all and are unwilling to admit there is a problem with the 2002-2006 transmissions. They are not willing to stand behind their reputation. My mom got over 300,00 miles on her Accord, so I expected to get the same on the Pilot. I highly recommend you file a report with the NHTSA (www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov) ... Read More...
Re: Dead Transmission on 2003 Pilot [piloterror]
Was Honda any help with your transmission? I could not get any help, with all these problems is there any class action suit? There was one in 2006 and I think it covered the transmission replacement then. Read More...

Re: 2009 Honda Pilot EX [bubsy1]
I purchased a 2009 Pilot EX FWD down in central FL on Feb 18th 2009,the price was $26.135.This does not include taxes or fee's. If the $1500 dealer incentive is still on subtract that from the invoice and make your offer. I have had 2006,2007 and now the 2009 al EX's and this the best of them all. The 09 transaction was all done with the internet mgr. :) Read More...
