Should I buy back, lease new or buy new Pilot

HI, I am at the end of my honda pilot lease and the buyback is 17500 for 2006 (no leather so EX right?) with 16k miles, tint, roof rack. Is that a good price? is it negotiable? I know a friend who bought used honda 2006 pilot LX , leather, sun roof, 45k miles, for 18,500. or should I lease new pilot? or should I purchase new pilot. Please help Read More...

I am looking for the same thing right now. The prices you are quoting would be the ridiculosly high range from a honda dealer selling CPO or an outrageous used car dealer. It depends where you are of course but all over the country there are a ton of 06 Pilots hitting the auctions right now. The reason is they are all coming off lease and Honda is upside down in the residuals. ... Read More...

Got a mass email from Boston and Michigan dealers saying all previous offers made that were not taken by last night are off the table since the incentive program changes. He was not specific as to which model year, but I assume this could only apply to the 2009 since there were never incentives for the 2010. Anyone else get the same? That being said, Howard Cooper ... The conclusion to this story is that American Honda would not help. The dealer allowed $6500 as a trade in on a 2006 Pilot with 34,000 miles. Could not get any participation from the dealer, either. Didn't wish to drag the proceedings out any longer. Read More...

Good question. I have a 2009 Honda Pilot and it is my third as I had a 2003 and a 2006. I had running boards on those but not on my 2009. I think they are a complete waste of money. Even if you are short or have children, they are an unnecessary expense because they don't add significantly to getting in and out of the vehicle. No matter what your cost, save your money. The lease is up and my wife is debating purchasing this vehicle ($16,853.20) or leasing a new 2010. She contacted her credit union and used car payments would be $400/m. If you want to buy yourself more time you can extend your lease with a simple phone call to AHFC. You can extend for up to 24 months under the exact same terms as your existing lease. It is a month to month lease. The mileage is prorated. We love our Pilot (2006 EX-L with RES) but the residual is a lot more than the fair market value and Honda won't budge on the buyout price. ...
