Anyway just to let everyone interested know the outcome of my lease return with Honda. I left the overhead screen in. The inspector didnt say anything about it. He found some minor dents and 3 worn tires for a total of $772.00 which is all covered under the $1500 damage waiver. I was surprised he didnt write up the cracked windshield. Hi, I saw this on Car Talk's forum, the person there did get some resolution from Honda, they admitted to the problem, fixed it and gave them a loaner until the car was fixed. I am curious to know what you all are being told by dealers/mechanics and if there's any good, prescribed fix. We *just* bought a 2005 EX this weekend, with 74K miles, one owner, well serviced ... Hello, I have experiences the same problem twice over the past few months and can not seem to find a good answer on what is causing this. It's almost as if I were slamming on the brakes or the car is braking on its own. Have you received any good insight on this? Jeff Read More...

Hi jet757f. I personally would leave the screen in if I was in your position. Taking it out and leaving holes in the ceiling would be worse. I have leased several Hondas in the past, and I have always found the independent inspectors that Honda Finance uses to be very fair in evaluating the condition of my vehicle. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Honda lease return inspection company called SGS. I think it stands for Society General Services. I just found out that they do the inspection. I went to the Honda dealer where this will be returned and the Sales Manager seemed to indicate to me that if I left upgrade equipment that it will not be a problem. ... Read More...

Hi Cathie, Mid-summer I experienced the same thing driving with my two children. My husband didn't think there was anything wrong until recently he was driving and it happened to him as well. They might not notice it if folded up. Just leave it -- can't figure they would charge you to remove it. Makes more sense to leave it in place. Affects nothing in the truck. Let us know what happens. Read More...

Ok I need some more advice on this lease return before I take it back to the dealer. I did look under the overhead screen and there are mount holes and a square cutout for the wires into the headliner. So Im planning on just leaving the overhead screen there when I return it to the dealer. I dont think that I have a choice. Anyone have any ideas on how they will handle this? Read More...
