Review

I have just purchases my second Pilot in two years. Last year I purchased an 04 EX with cloth seats. While I was very pleased with it overall, I was a little dissapointed to find that they offered a sunroof on the 05 models. I purchased the 05 with a sunroof and rear entertainment system. I am thrilled with it. The upgrades are well worth it. There is no other SUV with the number of options anywhere near the price. We are anxious to see the changes for the 06.

Favorite Features

wireless headphones for DVD. Leather seats are great. Third row seat is great. Six disc CD changer is convenient. Love, Love, Love my sunroof. Lots of hidden storage. Drives like a dream.

Suggested Improvements

The rear seat belts should be a little further apart. They don't allow enough room for some car seats and boosters.

Review

No buyer's remorse with this purchase! Amazing acceleration for such a heavy weight vehicle. Many complaints about mileage but what can you expect for 255HP with 4400lb. Great alternative to the true large scale SUV's for passenger and cargo capacity. I don't consider this an SUV as ride, suspension, wheels, etc are geared toward a car chassis. I kept my 4Runner, body on frame construction, for off-road ventures.

Favorite Features

Smooth, quiet ride, with plenty of acceleration at all speeds. Second and third rows seats fold down. Parking brake pedal and steering column shifter opens up the center console area.

Suggested Improvements

Lighten up the vehicle weight (improve braking). Power or flip-up rear window.

Review

Had to have it after the first test drive. Very comfortable ride and a good solid feel of the road makes this one of the best SUV's available.

Favorite Features

6 disc CD changer is awesome paired with the stereo system with subwoofer. Rear air is also a great feature.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage is 19 highway, 15 city. A little less than advertised. Would have liked to see auto headlights and door locks.

I have owned my 2005 Pilot since April. I bought it from a dealer and it had 2000 miles put on it by the dealer manager. I love this darn car so much I can't stay out of it. I have put 12,000 miles on it in 4 months! It has such great handling. Turning on a dime even though it is the size of a half-dollar. It has amazing power and is easy easy to drive. Love it!

Review

I just got my Pilot at around end of August. I really am happy with my purchase so far. The ride is quiet and smooth even on freeway. It also fits our needs. I like the fact that it is so versatile & roomy. For the most part, i love the improvements Honda has added to the '05 models. (i.e. EBD(electronic brake distribution), VSA(vehicle stability assistance), sunroof, more horsepower (15 horses more than previous models), TPMS(tire pressure monitoring system & lots more. I just think there is still room for improvements but other than that....EXCELLENT SUV!!!

Favorite Features

Love the Navi, visibility on all windows, quietness, sunroof, homelink, adjustable 2nd row seats for more legroom, Leather seats, center console, lots of cupholders, integrated remote key and fob

Suggested Improvements

Fuel economy, the looks of rear tailights/front facia, dual exhaust, illuminated steering wheel controls, side curtain airbags, in-dash (not underneath the driver's seat) 6 disc cd changer, voice recognition for navi, gear shift lever location, Daytime Running Lights

Review

I bought the Pilot for my wife after exhaustive research. In the running were the Highlander, Explorer and the new Subaru SUV. The Highlander was too bland and had one less seat. The Subaru was just too small and odd. And the Explorer was a non-starter with costly and complex features pricing and marginal reliability. What sealed the deal on the Pilot was driving it. Not only was it safe and reliable, it was very, very comfortable to drive. I have an 01 Accord, and the Pilot rides much better on all surfaces. It has gotten ok gas milage to this point - averaging around 18 in mixed driving.

Favorite Features

Center console, third row with 3 seats.

Suggested Improvements

Seat presets (I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'6"), better gas milage (which I know is coming in 06).

Great vehicle. Seller could not tow his extra large boat & trailer, we have no need for that. Sits 7 comfortably. Gas mileage is not the greatest but okay compared to other SUVs. A very comfortable ride. DVD system is excellent. Overall we are very happy with the purchase.

Favorite Features

3rd row of seats, over the shoulder seat belts for all 8 seats - lots of room when all seats folded down. DVD system is very nice. Seats behind driver & passenger have lots of room. excellent head & shoulder space throughout the vehicle.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage. It would be nice to have DVD & NAV. systems available in same vehicle.

Review

I test drove so many SUVs. It came down to the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander. There was no comparison. It drives like a dream. You have to be really careful though when you are sitting in it and it's running because it's so quiet you might think it's off and turn it on when it's already running. Buy one now. You won't be sorry.

Favorite Features

Too many to name. Comfort and lots of room in the back seat are probably my most favorite.

Exterior Body Not tough

Review

The vehicle stability, brakes, and pickup are excellent. Many swift lane changes and sharp turns are handled gracefully. But the outside body is NOT good. If you drive on country side roads then lots of chipping problems occur. Also inside the rear AC air direction controller came broken in my new Pilot. So build is so-so , I mean from other aspects too.

Smooth ride , good audio, plush leather seats

Suggested Improvements

Make a tougher exterior and inside too. Build quality needs improvement.

Solid as a rock SUV, thought the pick- up it has is great with the 4speed. Standard features and quality are just great.

Favorite Features

The solid feel and the pick-up available when moving. The sage green color is not what you expect when you hear the name. It looks great. Sun roof. Speed control works perfect.

Suggested Improvements

I'm sure a hybrid is around the corner to help the MPG. Can't see the gages the best for how I like to sit. Should have integrated the head rests into the seat so they are flush or can be moved down instead of removed.
