2005 Honda Pilot SUV EX 4WD 4dr SUV w/Leather, Rear Entertainment (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Review

We bought our Pilot EX w/leather, DVD in June '05 and immediately took it on a 5000 mile trip back East. Having the DVD kept 4 kids completely quiet. The Pilot's shifting is unnoticeable. I saw the RPM's drop, but the vehicle did not 'jump' when shifting. The passing power is perfect even in the mountains of Utah. The 2nd and 3rd rows recline slightly so passengers aren't sitting straight up the entire trip. The 2nd row is able of adjust forward approximately 6" much like front seats allowing even more legroom for the 3rd row. I sit in the 3rd row and am quite comfortable being 5'8". I researched SUV's for 6 months and this beat the Highlander hands down. I'm so happy with the Pilot

Best Features

DVD, leather, heated seats, recling 2nd and 3rd rows, automatic climate control, undetectable shifting

Worst Features

Fuel economy, but not horrible for size, powered passenger seat, rear mud guards standard. The Pilot is by far the best vehicle we've owned over 20 years.

I like a vehicle that is higher so you can see what is going on up ahead. Very roomy and comfortable.

Easy access to all the controls and all the great storage compartments.

Worst Features

headlights automatic turn on and off at key use. Doors automatic lock when car is started and unlock when key is turned off.

2005 Honda Pilot SUV EX 4WD 4dr SUV w/Leather, Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Review

A perfect SUV! Reasonably styled, exceptionally built. Very smooth and powerful engine, good pickup, smartly placed controls, comfortable interiors (I have Pilot EX-Navi). Versatile SUV with good fuel economy for an SUV. The only maintenance has been routine checkups. Wish side airbags, moonroof were available. Size is a plus... large interior and cargo room, but looks/drives like a midsize. Paid close to invoice price.

Best Features

Engine/powertrain, cargo/passenger room, interior materials/controls.

Worst Features

Side airbags, moonroof, defogger for rear side windows.

2005 Honda Pilot SUV EX 4WD 4dr SUV w/Leather (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Review

Really like how the various controls are in good reach and seem easy to run. Roomy and well made, I like the little additions that make it comfortable. Only drawback seems to be space around the driver's seat...you lose something down the sides and it's almost impossible to retreive.

Best Features

A/C and heating controls VERY easy and well labeled.

Worst Features

Remake driver's seat so there is more access around the seat or it's closed around the seat so you can't loose things down the side of it.

2005 Honda Pilot SUV EX 4WD 4dr SUV w/Leather, Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Review

This is the best vehicle I have ever owned in terms of utility and function. Considering I've owned a '89 Toyota Camry, '95 Isuzu Rodeo and '97 Infiniti Q45t, this is the one that you can take anywhere, anytime and with anything.

Best Features

Navigation system.

Worst Features

Bluetooth technology.
