    One reason why engine overheat because the oil is not properly circulating that will cause the problem. Possibly that you got defective oil pressure switch/sensor or oil pump. If your engine is overheating the problem is your thermostat and coolant temperature sensor.

    Grinding sounds usually occur when your brake pads are already worn out. It is something that it is already metal to metal. The other thing is you got already a defective brake rotor.     There is some limited information on this web page about knock sensor replacement on an 2003 Pilot that should help. The knock sensors are available for sale on the Internet from several companies, and it sounds fairly easy to replace. YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE IT, TOO, as it is an important part and it generates its own voltage, so you cannot bypass it, or do without it.
