This is our 2nd odyssey , first one is 2005.
It is a much improvement, very refined quiet, very comfortabe, and fun to drive. it takes the curves better than the old odyessey, despite of the reduced road feel secondary to the electric power steering. The driver seat is very comfortabe. I choose this over the Mercedes GL 450, essentially I have every thing for 1/2 the price and Honda reliblity and good resale value.
the car does not lack any horse power, push the gas and vtec kicks in at 4000 rpm and the car flies, most of the time you do not need that with family and kids. It realY feels liKe a sedan. 4000 miles no problems.
Gas consumption much better than my old odyassey.
Quiet cabin, much much better than the old odyssey. refined ride , feels like a luxury car, remids me with my 1998 Acura RL. Sporty handling beats any truck at any racetrack. navigation easy to use and acurate road accident information, to avoid trafic jams. blue tooth , i-pod connection and voice recognition. sound system is amazing.
Amazing fuel economy 28 mpg highway is easily attainable, at times it reacches 31 mpg, with city driving it goes down to 19 mpg which is exepected. If you multiply that by the number of passengers , it is better than any hybrid, so 56 mpg per 8 passenger, better than a hybrid 50 mpg per 4 passengers.
Steering wheel Road feel, road feel, road feel, similar to old Honda power steering, this makes the driving more enjoyable, and distinguish Hondas from other cars. Direct fuel injection with more low end torque and even better fuel economy.
3-D or Bird view in the Navigation.
A touch screen option in the navigation, and less buttons.
