Review
OK my 2005 Sienna XLE needed new --loved it. First thing, I can't believe how the interiors of these vans have CHEAPENED over the years. So much so I couldn't stomach the new Sienna. The Ody was just passable. Already the door switches are scratched because of the cheap plastic. I almost pulled the trigger on the Quest but couldn't get over the ugly stick and the suboptimal tranny (CVT). I have a Maxi CVT, it's just the load killed it. In any case driver console is just cheap. All the rest of the car is great. What were they thinking? Also should have 110 in 2nd row, not 3rd. Lots of finishing not good. Had to slap a few panels in, pull some plastic and carpet fibers. Hmm...
Favorite Features
Nice quiet ride. Bluetooth, cool box, and seating flexibility top notch. Phone integration w/ iPhone and Android seamless. Easiest of all vans to setup and use. Backup is nice, but Nissan does it better (bends and colors). Toyo give you an iphone low res screen you can't even see. Gas mileage about 10% better than outgoing Toyo, but not stupendous. Toyo has more get up and go.
Suggested Improvements
Please, this isn't a $15k car. Make the front console look passable and not so easily scratch-able. It should be a crime that the interior gets WORSE over time. Only the Toyo outclasses the Ody in cheap interior. Call up Nissan on how to do it. Ergonomically speaking the volume button is smaller than joystick, so you are really forced to use the wheel, otherwise you are inadvertanly changing channels. Bluetooth should provide song info. My 2011 Maxi does it. Seat/mirror memory. This is 2012 already. Do I need to blow $40k for that. Already $38k... No pushbutton. How retro My first Honda, so we will see. Bought the extended warranty..No chances there with all that tech on board.
