Yup, had mine replaced recently under warranty and it does clear up the shakes rather nicely. My 07 is still running smoothly. Apparently this is a much more common problem than Honda will admit to the public. They're fixing all of them that report the vibrations, and had (when mine was done) a shortage of replacement torque converters. Honda should issue a recall ... Read More...

FYI the NHTSA on Oct. 19, 2009 upgraded the status of an inquiry it is doing into 2007/08 squishy odyssey brakes, citing several reports of people being unable to stop their odyssey b/c the brake pedal hits the floor before the vehicle stops (link to upgrade notice below). hi, when we brought van in 2007 ...1st three days van lost power cannot start which happen twice and tow truck guys started car by placing on neurtal and he told me to replace neural switch but honda cannot figure out since they replace neutral switch no power loss i have to replace battery every nov since we brought 2007 honda odyssey ,now every yr somewhere in middle ... Martha, I have the same exact problem. My Odyssey is also a 2007 with 51,000 miles-we bought it new. I had my dealer look at it a couple weeks ago and they did a software up-date and serviced the transmission. The juddering or shutter is now worst. The trans seems to go in and out at highway speeds. Drives you nuts with all the shifting it does. I mentioned the problems ... Read More...

Sorry to hear that, same here, this is my last HONDA, I will switch to Toyota or Nissan. First Civic, power are losing after 2-3 months, Honda HIllside NY just ignored my complains. Swap it to 2004 Odyssey same power lost after few months, traded to 2007 Odyssey, one year have to change stabilizer also started to feel that power is losing again. (loud noise engine ... Same issue with me, except 2001 Odyssey, 90K miles. A month ago they serviced the TX fluid twice. Over the last month that's improved the problem quite a bit, but not fully. Today took it back, and they said replace the TX. Honda of America would cover 25% of the cost of the TX itself. Still, total out of pocket would be about $3200. The power train warranty from Honda is 5 years, 60k, and should cover a torque converter, as it is a transmission-type issues. What are you referring to re: the 36k warranty? This is the bumper-to-bumper one, as far as I know. Read More...

Honda just called me back and it is the Torque converter! They are going to replace it free of charge because it it still has 1400 miles left in the factory warrenty....whew!!! Glad I did not wait any longer. I will leave another message after the repair is complete to let people know the results of the fix. Read More...
