I recently purchased 2005 Honda Odyssey EX from Honda Dealer. It makes this little loud (and noticeable), kind a humming sound or growl and I can feel the vibration all over the Van when driving at 80km. How do you figure? In 2004, Toyota released the same basic Sienna you can buy today. Honda's current Odyssey came out a year later, for 2005. The current Camry came out a year before the current Accord. The Corolla and Civic aren't even close to the same schedule for redesign. Save your money on the factory nav. I have a 2005 Odyssey and to upgrade it it is going to cost $265 form what Honda is telling me and I have to get it from Alpine. You are better off getting a Garmin or one of the other GPS systems. To upgrade those it is $70. Just my 2 cents. Read More...

I have a 2005 Odyssey ( 57K miles) and had the same problem this morning. I drove it for 20 mins and parked it at the church for an hour. When I got back and started the van the manifold blew up and is in pieces. It felt like a bomb went off in the front of the car. How long does a rebuild transmission last? I know that Honda thenselves usually to not reuild them. It's outsourced iin most cases. My 2002 had a replacement in 2007 at 180,000 jilimeters (Canadian odometer). Does this mean a replacement in 2003 was not as good as one done in 2005 or later in 2009, etc. Theit built quality got better as the years progressed? Mine ... Read More...

Hi all, Just want to warn my 2005 Sienna XLE has 70,000 miles and I am looking at a slew of repairs right now. Just paid $800 to "replace locking assembly" in passenger sliding door and they informed me that a "Transfer Case Seal" has failed and quoted me a $2000 charge to fix that. I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey, transmission started clunking at 124,000 miles. Although out of the 80,000 miles limit,Honda paid $2000 out of a $3,000 bill as goodwill that was in 2005 On the highway it had a catastrophic failure, the transmission failed completely, with smoke pouring out of the engine compartment. My 2005 has been vibrating for the last several months. When I accelerate, it starts vibrating and there is a low roar noise (kind of sounds like I'm driving a truck). I have read through many of these posts that the concern is that there is a problem with the transmission. I have a 2005 Odyssey w/ 105,000 miles.
