Love it!
Vehicle
2010 Honda Insight LX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
Thousands less than the Prius and comparable mpg. Plus, it seems like everybody and their brother drives a Prius these days! I like having a car that's not ubiquitous. It's fun to drive, and I am getting around 50 mpg. I am very happy with my Insight!
Favorite Features
Dash display. Feedback while driving. Sporty feel.
Suggested Improvements
Armrest on LX.

Love this car!

2010 Honda Insight LX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
I really didn't believe the MPG promises made by the dealership, but I wasn't concerned because I knew it would be better than my trade in. In econo mode, I'm getting about 46 MPG on surface streets! That is mind boggling! I routinely get about 50 on my commute which is a mix of freeway and surface streets. I do turn the econo mode off during the hot AZ summers and the mileage is still really good, probably about 45 MPG on my commute. The performance is great. I can pass when I need to pass, accelerate to get on the freeway. I also store a surprising amount of cargo in the back, with the seats folded down.
Favorite Features
Love the driving efficiency feedback display. The USB jack inside the arm rest, which is really cool! (Yes, it is in the LX model)
Suggested Improvements
Floor mats for the LX model and a beefier speaker system.

Great Car

Traded a 2003 Ford Crown Vic in and got this car for my 40+mi commute. It does exactly what Honda says it will, provide excellent fuel economy economically! I can make my commute 4 days on a single tank (80mi per day, RT) where my Crown Vic needed to refuel everyday. Get Cruise Control, as maintaining the car's delicate sense of "good" vs "bad" fuel economy is a challenge if you're using your foot only!
Favorite Features
Entire dashboard HUD display is very informative, roomy.
Suggested Improvements
Cruise Control standard (for fuel economy), slightly better sound- proofing.

2010 Honda Insight EX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
Just took delivery of my Honda Insight. It has surprised me in that the ride is comfortable and the road noise is non factor. The fuel mileage is tracked by the computer and registers 52.4 miles per gallon. I have yet to fill up the tank from delivery. Driven 400 miles. It has opened up my eyes in driving to conserve fuel. Great car for going back and forth to work.
Favorite Features
The IPOD USB connection. The ECO system that trains you how to drive to conserve. The fuel economy is much more than advertised!!!
Suggested Improvements
Floor mats, and take the back window distraction out so it is a clear view.

Surprisingly Good
Vehicle
2010 Honda Insight EX 4dr Hatchback w/Navigation (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
Traded my beloved Wrangler for practicality and economy. Excellent handling. Great commute vehicle. Excellent value for the price. Actual fuel economy around 48 mpg.
Favorite Features
Fuel economy. Steering wheel controls. Economy mode.
Suggested Improvements
Navi clunky and display lacking compared with GPS units like Garmin. Voice control functions too limited for audio.

Great gas saver
Vehicle
2010 Honda Insight LX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
I used to drive a 300hp Subaru loved that car but I was spending $200 a month on fuel, so I decided to buy me a hybrid to save some $, well now fuel costs me $80, can't beat that. I have no regrets, I love the car design, build quality, it's all great. Performance-wise I mean come on it's a hybrid I did not expect a race car perf. The car is great at saving money, I know some people say that they are getting 56mpg but in reality you will most likely see more like 44mpg, my best was 45mpg at average speed of 70mph, although computer said I did 49mpg. The one thing about my Insight that I love is that it's not a Prius. I saw one Insight so far and I live in Chicago area. Love my Insight.
Favorite Features
Fuel economy, design. It's not a Prius.
Suggested Improvements
Cruise control on LX model please, come on Honda.

Better than the Prius
Vehicle
2010 Honda Insight LX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
I have owned my 2010 Honda Insight for about three months now. What a great car! I have been averaging 49.4 mpg. They need to redo the gov't estimate. I would buy this car over the Prius any day. The car tells you how to drive more efficiently, great feedback.
Favorite Features
Econ System. Great MPG!!!
Suggested Improvements
Replace the inside plastic material with better material. Give the car some more horsepower.

The MPG Rating is the real deal!
Vehicle
2010 Honda Insight LX 4dr Hatchback (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Review
Other reviewers have covered the vehicle design and overall performance thoroughly, so I will only say that the build quality and design have lived up to my expectations. What impressed me most is the MPG!I have driven approximately 3k miles to date, with the majority being city miles. My mileage has been consistently around 45 mpg, which is better than Honda advertises. Only in the last two weeks have I had a chance to do any serious amount of freeway mileage, and let me tell you, this is where the car shines! On a 250 mile trip in the flat central valley of California I ended up with 54 MPG! Tonight I returned from a 460 mile trip over the Sierra Nevada on one tank with gas to spare.
Favorite Features
The fuel economy is fantastic! I have yet to take it out of economy mode. During climbs of high mountain passes the power was quite reasonable considering what this is: a 1.3L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid. You will not pass many cars on the climbs, but I had no issues passing trucks.
Suggested Improvements
Floor mats should be standard on all models, not just the EX. Although the AUX jack works fine with my iPhone, a USB jack would be a nice addition on the LX.

Read a ton of stuff before I ran out and got one. Paid invoice and am getting $3,000 back from work. I got a $22,000 car for $17,000. I love it. I've seen many comparisons to the Prius. I skipped the Prius because it was so expensive. People who complain it's not quick miss the point. I am amazed at the technology it comes with. Traction control? Climate control? LED lights? Paddle shifters? I am getting close to 50 mpg. Typical (excellent) fit / finish for a Honda.
Favorite Features
It's a hybrid! 50 mpg. IMA. Climate control. Traction control. The heads-up display you can scroll through. Seeing a $30,000 Prius and knowing my car is better. Paddle shifters.
Suggested Improvements
Floor mats! Cargo cover. Cheaper GPS.
