    Yes Lewis, A/C will drop your mileage. The hotter the temps, the harder the A/C has to work, and the more it will rob your MPGs. It also does something else too. It sometimes causes your engine not to shut off when stopped at a traffic light, which it usually does to save gas.     Within the last 4 months my millage has dropped from 47mpg to 35. Granted I do live in Houston Texas and the weather has been extremly warm. Would using the air conditioner cause the millage to drop. What else would cause it to drop a good 12mpg? How can I increase the millage to 47-50 mpg. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.     No problem wombat94. Theoretically you could lease a Honda for 48 months, but you really shouldn't. Honda's special lease money factors are only available for up to 36 months. If you lease for 48 months, the 2010 Insight's money factor jumps from .00104 to .00200 (for Super Preferred tier customers). If I recall correctly, you were considering getting an Insight EX.     Honda is giving $750 dealer cash right now, so you should be able to get the price to $750 below invoice (or very close). At least in the Midwest, they will sell them at or very close to invoice minus dealer cash to get the moving. Good luck!

    I have a 2010 Insight. The auto-stop is a joke. Half the time it does not even shut off the engine at a stop light. However, when it does shut off the engine at a stop sign, it only does it for about 30 seconds. Then the engine restarts. Is this normal? To set the preference select SETUP and then select 'DOOR SETUP' / 'AUTO DOOR UNLOCK' and choose 'ALL DOORS WITH SHIFT TO P'. If that doesn't work I would check with the dealer.
